Vinny is a pretty underrated fighter.
I loved Roy Jones's fight against him, Jones destroyed him, but that shouldnt count against him at all. after all, Vinny should have stuck around at the lighter weights, certainly not middleweight, and Roy Jones...well, hes just Roy Jones. nobody could really beat him anyway.

im not saying its not incredible because it is. But better the LaMotta? no way IMO.

      1. Well Firstly and most obviously his loss to Robinson in their last fight, where He took a ****LOAD of punishment and... NEVER WENT DOWN!!!!

      2. Against Dauthuille where LaMotta was EXTREMELY far behind on points going into the final round, gets beat the **** up for 14.8 rounds, and knocks Dauthuille out with 13 seconds left in the fight.

      3. Bob Murphy. maybe 3 months after he got spanked by Robinson he never goes down against Murphy, taking (ive never seen, but read...) HELLACIOUS shots that would fall any other man, and is forced to stop on his stool. But the fact that he never went down is a testament to his tremendous heart

and thats all i know of, im sure there are others. He showed heart in all the Robinson fights, and so on and so forth.

Look, you are confusing and equating HEART with the ability to take a punch and that is where you have been mistaken. Not going down from a volley of punches doesnt measure heart as much as it measures the ability to take a punch, my man. Going down from a WICKED AND BRUTAL volley of punches only to desperately try to get up and face the man who put you there when the man is the 168 pound world champion and the best fighter in the game in his prime and you yourself used to be a 135 pounder indicates nothing but HEART. Heart has nothing to do with your ability to take punches or score come from behind KO's, it is your ability to attempt to do those things when all is apparently lost

will you forgot to mention that he was coming from a neck surgoery and doctors advice him not to fight.

as for LaMotta-SRR fight, If a guy got beating to be a Hall of Fame that it should be Gatti annd Paz.

Doesn't that mean taking a persons punch and not quiting. Fighters don't just get up because they want to,if the get up they oviouslly want to fight & win. I think your logic is a lil off.

well knowing someone what the feel and what emotion is pretty hard.

His body failed him and not his mind. He was KOed the ref stoppped it immeditatly when he stood he was agruing with the ref.

But it was a good call because he was getting hurt and could do anything everything was against him from speed,power,size...etc and people think he doesnt have heart is absurb

I think your post makes no sense. My "logic" in this case are the facts, man. "Fighters don't get up just because they want to, if they get up they obviously want to fight and win." Even IF that was always true ,which it isnt, it still doesnt make any sense. What are you saying?? And for the record, my man, so you know, many fighters get up even though they think they have no chance of winning. That is the definition of heart.
