One of the best evenings of my life was watching Roy Jones slap Pazienza all over the ring.

That had to be one of the worst beatings I have ever seen.

If that was one of the best evenings of your life... maybe you should get involved in more things outside of this forum. Also, for the record, I RJ looked awesome that night and that last flurry of shots was BREATHTAKING. You have to give Paz credit, though, because the man tried to get up and would have had the ref not gotten on top of him. I knowVinny.... and he wasnt ever going to beat RJ obviously...but the man deserves credit because he would have gotten up and continued fighting if they let him. Vinny was as much or more of a warior as Holyfield, LaMotta, Gatti, Ward, etc etc etc ever were.

I agree, Paz was a warrior, but his fame got to to his head later in his career and he started to punk out.

why cant a boxing match be the best night of ur life???

I was at Cotto-Judah and Pavlik-Taylor, both probably some of the most fun nights of my entire life.

And Vinny was the man, but as much of a warrior as holyfield and lamotta??? we are talking the greatest warriors of all time, He isnt even if the same stratosphere as a guy like LaMotta, who wasnt even skilled or a particularly hard puncher, but would walk through HELL to win fights usually by come from behind KO.

Well. Thanks for that under-informed opinion, Scully.

But I was in a bar near Puerto Vallarta with my gf. We had an awesome day day and asked about a zillion people where we can watch the fight. Finally, some driver took us to a sports bar in "the hood" and we saw the fight. Afterwards, there was a gunfight outside.

But still. I got great joy from seeing RJJ pummel that clown. All that sticking-his-tongue-out nonsense didn't endear Vinny to me.

That last flurry was BREATHTAKING. I agree. Was that a combo of uppercuts while flying forward? With power? That was an athletic marvel.

                It really was unbelivable.

Being in Vegas for Trinidad-Delahoya was a great weekend for me.

Being in Vegas for Trinidad-Vargas was ALSO fantastic. But I watched it on PPV.

I was in South Beach for Tyson-McNeeley. We wentto the old 'Three Rings' sportsbar atthe EdenRoc. Paid $25/head cover and the fight was over before our wings arrived.

I've had alot of fight/travel nights be GREAT nights for me.
