Being in Vegas for Trinidad-Vargas was ALSO fantastic. But I watched it on PPV.

I was in South Beach for Tyson-McNeeley. We wentto the old 'Three Rings' sportsbar atthe EdenRoc. Paid $25/head cover and the fight was over before our wings arrived.

I've had alot of fight/travel nights be GREAT nights for me.
going to the fights is like no other sport.

The fans are so unique, such a great atmosphere that is unique to boxing.

Its a shame that boxing is as unpopular as it is, cause all you need to do to become a boxing fan is go to a good fight live.

Everyone i brought to Cotto-Judah called it the best sporting event they have ever been to, AND I went to game 6 of the 2001 world series with them!

It is clear to me that it wasn't the NIGHT that was so great asmuch as it was the loss suffered by Paz..in other words you can say you went to a sporting event and it was AWEOME, the time you had there....but that's not exactly the same as having it be a great night BECAUSE someone you disliked got beaten down. Just an impression, that's all. And YES the heart Vinny showed in losses to Roger Mayweather (while being extremely weakened from drastic weight loss) and Roy etc showed as much heart as LaMotta ever showed in a ring, of course it did.

Also to clarify...what I mean is... it is clear that it was a "great night" BECAUSE Vinny got beaten and I don't think it is because the writer of the post won money on a bet...he was just very pleased that someone he obviously dislikes lost. To hang your ability to have a good night or a great night on whether someone you dislike wins or loses badly is just a bit perplexing to me, that's all.

            Um,,,,

Scenario a: You go to Vegas. you get laid. You win $1500. The fighter you love wins, and the fighter you hate loses.

Scenario b: You go to Vegas. you get laid. You win $1500. The fighter you love LOSES, and the fighter you hate WINS.

Isn't that a substantially different night?
Do you think the traveling hatton fans had a BETTER night from seeing Hatton KO Castillo?

I understand that Paz is your boy. But there are alot of people who took great joy in watching him get throttled after all that preening he was doing.

Vinny Paz has been through alot, and he had decent carrer in the lighter weight class's. Vinny is one of my favorite fighters ever, pure heart. He got beat the F up by Roy cause he was being to macho and make fun of Roy, its too bad people will mostly remember his for jst getting his ass beat.

I just asked him about the Butterbean vs Bart Gunn 'fight' yesterday but he didn't answer. lol

Paz was always fun to watch and he did a hell of a job with Roy being that he was so much smaller and all.
I was also impressed with his hand speed and movment during the match , great fight.

OK, show me. What Vinny did with Roy, still wanting to fight like he did when he was getting killed...the legend of certain guys is as big or bigger than actual happenings. LaMotta is famous for standing up to SRR's shots in 1951, refusing to quit...Vinny got drilled by what I say is MUCH more vcious punches from RJ in 1995 and he still wanted to finish the fight. Huge heart is huge heart or for former 135 POUND Vinny Paz to do what he did AFTER having that terrible car crash in 1991 is on par with anything the other guys did.
