    Berto: "Hatton Will Beat Mayweather"

Andre Berto (undefeated welterweight prospect): "Hatton could pressure Mayweather the whole fight and beat him, or Mayweather could box the heck out of him. I may go against the odds with this and say Hatton will beat Mayweather. Going up in weight, maybe Mayweather will try sitting down on his punches, instead of the lightweight Mayweather, who kept moving. I don't see Hatton stopping him, but I'll say Hatton be decision."
    The Ring, January 2008

    [sidenote]

Of the 20 experts to make selections, only 4 of 20 picked Hatton. The other 3 experts besides Andre Berto to pick Ricky Hatton were all journalists. Each work for British Boxing News, Manchester Evening news, and a freelance British boxing writer, respectively.

I think Berto sucks, so I don't give a **** about his opinion. Now, everyone is favoring the underdog hatton. This is bull****, floyd boxes while hattons first instinct is to try and ko his opponent.

interesting thing to watch out for with Berto is his punch resistance he was buzzed by Estrada and on the Deck against Rivera and i watched his fight with Figuero the other day and in commentry they said that as an Ameteur he had problems in the chin area according to Merchant anyway

Hatton is to small and has the wrong style to beat the elite welterweights. When he fought Collazo he won the decision but took a beating. Collazo is no Mayweather. Hatton's claim to fame was beating an old Kosta Tzyzu who was washed up before that fight and wasn't a welterweight anyway. I like Hatton and am glad he's getting a good payday but while you can never say a fighter has no chance I would say that this would be a big upset if Hatton wins. Matador against the bull and in this case the matador is bigger and faster than the bull. Mayweather by lopsided decision

This doesn't really address the topic though. There are plenty of threads for you to regurgitate the opinions of others on, why choose this one?

                    I like Hatton by KO.
But I have a feeling Floyd wins with his
usual defensive game, ala Mayweather-dela Hoya
