because he never lost at 130 and his only other loss was to DLH, he dominated that division for awhile. the thing is, when floyd fought him, just like when he fought corralles he came in more or less as a live underdog because hernandez had never lost at 130, i think if you were around at the time with mayweather having so few fights in less than 2 years, youd understand why in reality, thats one of his best wins.
but you know what, we have played the resume game with mayweather about 300 times, this is actually the only thing i wanted to say because your workin on my dope sig.Comment

yeah, he was dominating that divison with an IRON FIST. Almost Duran like with all of **** lightweight bouts.
Only thing is, most of the bums that Duran fought at LW were non-title bouts and tuneups meant for him to stay active.
Genaro 'dominated' the division against these same tuneups and tomato cans.

im not bashiing floyd at all, if anything im one of the guys who most defend his resume, because IMO, its as good as it could get...BUT one thing is to accept and know that Genaro was the most difficult opponent at the time, and another one is to say he is this legend at 130, because, sorry, he was not, he is the kind of name that de la hoya and tito have all over their resumes...because he never lost at 130 and his only other loss was to DLH, he dominated that division for awhile. the thing is, when floyd fought him, just like when he fought corralles he came in more or less as a live underdog because hernandez had never lost at 130, i think if you were around at the time with mayweather having so few fights in less than 2 years, youd understand why in reality, thats one of his best wins.

How many times are motha****as gonna write about this. Who gives a **** its in the past. Focus on whats going on now and move on. All this "Floyd hasn't fought anybody" **** is getting old. Its just sick how some of you "hate" a man who has done nothing to you. And plus you make it sound like floyd is the only fighter who has fought no named people. I was looking at different fighters opponents and I saw alot of people that I never heard of on their records. And yes I'm talking about greats like Ali, Frazier, Robinson, etc. So what makes floyd so different? Seriously some of you people on this forum have too much hate in your heart, your sick, and you need to get some ****ing help.Comment

So let me get this straight...
You all are bitching because Floyd took on a bunch of good fighters with good records... the only problem with them is that they were unproven on the elite level.
Hmm.
These people were probably labeled as "prospects".
Angel Manfredy beat Arturo Gatti beforehand, who was also a "prospect". Kind of like Kelly Pavlik beat Edison Miranda, and people praised Taylor for fighting Pavlik.
Goyo Vargas beat an undefeated Ben Tackie for his fight... dropping a prospect who was probably supposed to beat him, so he earned his title shot against Mayweather.
And then you all ***** because he fights Genaro Hernandez, the established champion, who only had one loss to a man who went undefeated at 130 in Oscar De La Hoya.
So, let me ask you all a question, who the **** was he supposed to fight at 130?
I notice you left Diego Corrales off, because that is someone he was supposed to fight.
You left Jesus Chavez off, the one prospect who actually developed into something good (the case can sort of be made for Manfredy too).
But seriously, who was he supposed to fight?Comment
