    Q. What is the fundamental difference between Collazo and Mayweather?

who cares if collazo is a southpaw, the funamental difference between collazo and mayweather is that mayweather is 10x the boxer.

If you have seen Hatton's fights or know a bit about his career can you tell me what all the fighters he has struggled with have had in common?

Ricky hatton sucks. HE HOLDS MORE THAN JOHN RUIZ. Mayweather is going to make hatton look like when he fought arturo gatti.

Just because Collazo is a southpaw doesn't mean they don't have similarities. So a southpaw pressure fighter wouldn't have similarities to a conventional pressure fighter? That would be ****** if you would say no. Collazo & Mayweather have similarities whether you choose to acknowledge that or not.

I don't recall denying their similarities but I know that Hatton would have had an easier ride against Collazo if he was an orthodox fighter. Obviously Mayweather is far superior to Collazo but the southpaw stance has been the sharpest thorn in the side of Hatton's boxing career.

Great thread. Hatton fans crapped on some of the annoying Mayweather fans.
Anyway, it's good to hear Hatton say this. Because we'll know we're gonna see the best of Hatton since he will be ready physically and mentally.

you cant just run to that single thing into factoring why he had so much trouble, he had trouble because he couldnt just muscle collazo around, he had trouble because collazo wasnt intimidated after the midpoint in the fight and he settled down realizing hatton is very hittable and vunerable and stopped whining to the ref about hattons holding. he had trouble because collazo is a halfway decent moving slickster, he had trouble because it was a new weightclass.

all of those things factored into why he had problems, not just because he was lefthanded.

I didn't say it was the only reason, there were a multitude of reasons for Hatton's dismal display but the main reason was that Collazo is a southpaw and Hatton has problems adjusting to avoid basic punches which he otherwise sees coming or at least deflects on the way to the inside. As I said, this has happened numerous times in Hatton's career against less distinguished fighters like Thaxton and Magee. The common ingredient? Southpaw stance.

LOL! Hatton's confidence is almost child-like. Too bad it won't make any difference in the ring when Floyd taps that anus..
