Actually, TEN million of it was for FMJ after all the receipts came in. But Baldo also earned a career high. So I don't think Baldo/Sycuan were complaining.

But you touched on my point. The two fighters have generated the same sales (PBF/Pac). Floyd gets ten mil because he is a promotional free agent, and Pacquiao gets 2,3,4 Million because promoters are getting rich off him.

You're right though, there's plenty of fighters who deserve that kind of big money for their fights. Fighters that time=after-time bring in good PPV numbers and put butts in seats.

Why wouldn't more fighters follow Floyd then and drop their promoters? I mean after their contracts expire and before re-signing. Or even buying out their contracts like Floyd did with Top Rank.

Well, you should get paid proportionately to the revenues you generate.

Pacquiao is a good draw. Barrera is not. Pacquiao should make much more than MAB.

No doubt Pacquiao is an excellent draw, but Barrera wasn't that bad himself. I mean, not like he once was, but his fights in Vegas still brought in decent crowds. More than A LOT of fighters bring in.

I'll admit though, I found it strange when I heard that both fighters made the same amount...being how Pac had a victory over Barrera and MAB was coming off a loss. Barrera's great career should count for something, but I honestly thought that Pac would be paid more MAB. Maybe $3 mil for Pac and the $2 mil for MAB.
