Nobody downgraded anything, which has relative meaning anyways in he face of honesty. I'm still waiting on a rebuttal to my assertion. By contribution, of course I mean participation in the sport (boxing)..

When peyton manning won the superbowl, would you say "tony dungy had nothing to do with peyton mannings success and should be discredited toward his win" no you wouldnt say that ****, its a team effort. Somebody has to guide you, without the diversity of this sport we wouldnt have a sport, and im not going to sit here and attribute one race or nationality for the rise of the sport, to say whites contributions to the sport are minimal is unfair,
It is not unfair because I am taken out of context. I am not referring to promoters and cornermen, but as a boxing fan, am referring to the cream of the crop, you know, the boxers.

winky wright wouldnt be where he is today without his trainer and mentor, i dont care if he didint get in the ring with him, it doesnt matter.
Again, Winky Wright, just like Ali's skill was his own and you should never give undue weight to anyone else, regardless. Guidance again is a given, but it is a stretch to say that this is the same as getting in the ring and helping Winky win, and certainly not the same as fighting yourself, which is what I'm talking about, so this is obviously a red herring, be it most likely unintentional..

        Sonofisis.
It seems you are just a bitter Black kid who has a lot of growing up to do.
I thought as much from your quoted signature.
Therefore there is no point in discussing this kind of subject with yourself.
Perhaps one day you may realise , possibly when you have wasted your life dwelling on the past which you were not a part of ,that your own life has passed you by and you will have achieved nothing and gained nothing from your hatred of a small minority of people.
Because Racists are in the minority you know.
They are generally uneducated fools , a bit like yourself.
I thought this was a Forum for discussing boxing and not venting about the differences between the colours & creeds of the world.
I really do hope you can overcome this cancer that is eating at your soul.
I have nothing left to say to you.
        Peace be with you.

            Tyson,

They don't realize that the board gets so polarized because the posters who are jealous of Floyd take everything he says as scripture. Even more so than the Floyd fans.

"Floyd said he would go toe-to-toe with Oscar...HE LIED!!!"

            WTH.

If you were offended that's one thing, but to refer to me as either racist or uneducated is so far off that this can be seen as a cop-out due to the fact that you have no decent rebuttal. Your "nuthugger" thread about Dios, where you wouldn't even allow room for a difference in opinion without childishly name-calling, is a demonstration of your hypocrisy and an example of why you can't be taken seriously and this can merely be seen as a reactionary and emotional outlash since you are incapable of nothing more than ranting, but have no means to refute the obvious.. Good luck with that strategy.

The colour of a fighters skin is irrevelant.

A true boxing fan shouldn't even see the colour of a fighters skin. I mean, personally speaking, I got into boxing when I was a kid. I never thought about what colour such and such is, I either liked the fighter or I didn't.

Same with everything in life really.

I don't need to prove a god damn thing to you.
                  Your ears are closed.

All you want is to argue hence your ridiculous post claiming white people's contribution to boxing is/has been minimal throughout history.
You quote successes of Black boxers in the pro Ranks and perhaps for a time during the 60's 70's 80's & early 90's Black boxers were dominant.
But you forget about the Eastern & white europeans who had many successes in Amateur Boxing who couldn't fight in professional boxing (eastern europeans due to communism) or others who chose not to turn professional at all.
You also forget that many Black boxers have come from the USA which is the richest country in the world with much more resources than any tiny european white country.
You have forgotten to factor in many different things including social and financial climates.
                  As I have said already.
There is NO point in arguing with you.
You talk out of your arse.

Please, there is no racial aspect to this, Sugar Ray Leonard, Tyson, Ali, Foreman, all carried the banner of boxing to new heights in spite of their race because they were more than just fencers without swords.
