I don't think Duddy is ready for this at all. His performance with a very old, worn, and never too much of an elite fighter Campas made me seriously doubt his ability to fight amongst the elite. But the fight should be entertaing and sounds like one I would definitely watch even if I think it's a foregone conclusion.

If you have Sky Digital you should get RTE2/Network 2 in England and you can watch the fight on there at the weekend.

I was wondering why they were talking as though Duddy could 100% look past his opponent, someone who took Sturm the distance.

Now, I see he's fighting a 19 year old (10-2-0) whose been in ONE ten round fight. Duddy needed way more tuning up than this. It was bad enough as it was fighting Pavlik in March, but this is just insane.

Why wouldn't Pavlik take the Winky fight?

Duddy has proven to be mediocre.

But I'm not sure if Winky is an option. has Wijnky expressed interest in fighting at 160 again? If so it's clear he should be rated #1.

Dont write off Duddy that easily. I do not think he will win, but I think he will put up a good fight.

Duddy is a showcase fight for him. If his last two fights didnt catch peoples attention, then his first defence will certainly open some eyes of those who havent followed him much.(very casual fans)

He could do worse. Duddy isnt THAT bad...not as bad as Oleg choosing his first defence as Okhello, not as bad as any of Valuev's voluntary defences.
just look at the Middleweight division. Duddy isnt that much worse than the people Abraham and Sturm are defending their title against...

besides, the WBO and WBC belts both rate Duddy highly, so he probebly would have become a mandatory soon anyway. may as well get him out of the way, and may as well do it right away so he can annialate Duddy in an exciting fight. Im pretty sure Pavlik will go after all the other big names after this.
