Hatton has a small chance to start with. If mayweather is either a) underprepared, or b) overtrained, then that increases to a fair chance if Ricky can keep the gas on late.

What would give Ricky a decent chance would be the ability to score on Mayweather from a reasonable distance (arm's length - the way Chavez and Duran did). Hatton wuld need to vary the distance. Space control.

Because mayweather is such a skilled defensive fighter, I don't believe - AT ALL - that Hatton can land shots from a distance. And a fighter like Floyd will not lose to a one-dimensional guy. Hatton just doesn't have enough tools in his toolbox.

I watched ODLH-PBF again the other night. I hadn't noticed previously, but Manny Steward said it. He said that Floyd made a small adjustment in his body angle that completely took away Oscar's left hook. ODLH didn't even throw it.

But thankfully for Oscar, he was a tall man with a long, quick jab. (Which I have always sworn is the way to beat Floyd.... I swear on the eyes of my unborn children).

Oscar has alot of tools and a lot of advantages. Ricky Hatton is not as versatile as Oscar.

Whatever is that one thing that you like to do, Floyd will take it away. And you are left to find ANOTHER way to beat him. Most guys don't have that other way. Ricky hatton doesn't have it.
You, like most people it has to be said, believe there is only one way to beat Mayweather and that because Hatton does not conform to this image of the style needed to beat Floyd you more or less write off his chances.

You may be right, perhaps there is only one way to beat Floyd Mayweather and perhaps Hatton is physically restricted from finding that way but I believe there are several ways to beat Mayweather and eventually someone is going to show one of them.

Has Hatton ever been in the ring with somebody like mayweather before?

Hatton couldn't beat Floyd's sparring partners.

Are you going to be willing to change your screen name to "Hatton43-1-0" after Dec. 8th?

I'm not going to go tit for tat with anybody in here but I will say this...

All of this hating on Ricky Hatton makes you guys look worse than Hatton's most diehard supporters. Even they acknowledge that Hatton will probably be beaten by Mayweather on December the 8th. Going out of your way to degrade Ricky's performances, questioning every last detail of his record, and going so far to say that he's physically restricted from beating Mayweather make you look much worse than any of Hatton's most ******* supporters.

Hatton has a chance to beat Mayweather, because he has a style that might be able to beat Mayweather. You guys act as if Ricky will be relying on the "sweet science" to outpoint Floyd when he's going to be doing his damndest to make sure that points aren't an issue. And all of this negativity and hate will back fire on you if Hatton beats Mayweather because I'll be sure to bump all of the threads.

I realize it's a big "if" that Hatton can beat Mayweather but anything is possible in boxing. I remember people said Duran had no chance against Leonard, and Douglas had no chance against Tyson, and Frazier had no chance against Ali, and Ali had no chance against Liston, and Pavlik had no chance against Taylor, and Hopkins had no chance against Trinidad, and Barrera had no chance against Hamed, etc.... Get it? Got it? Good.

I realize I'm probably coming off as a huge Hatton fan but I'm not. I just take it very personally when a poster decides to openly disrespect any fighter. They actually get in the ring and put their lives and pride on the line, you guys sit by and type about it. I think they're the ones with balls here.
