I think the next "big" PPV star will be an Irishman, my first guess would be John Duddy or Andy Lee. Duddy fights are action packed and he has charisma to be a star. He isn't championship level or at least hasn't shown it yet. He could be the next Arturo Gatti though. If Andy Lee continues developing and getting better he could also be a big draw.

Calzaghe is 35 years old. You see him as a FUTURE star?

Wlad is 31 yo. He has spent the past few years knocking muh****az out left and right. Yet he is on nobody's radar. The biggest fight for him would be Peter rematch. Do you see that as a fight that would galvanize the public?

At this rate Juan Diaz looks like he could fill the void. If he can get a few big wins againt marquee names. His style is also fan-friendly.. He should be able to clean up the 135 division including casamayor, thus creating an opportunity for a mega fight.

Kelly Pavlik is the next big PPV. IMO

Pavlik- he's one of those guys that people just root for in life. Doesn't help that he's white either.
Hatton- If he can somehow beat Floyd...he could be a HUGE star.
Berto- Exciting style of fighting. If he keeps winning, he's a decently good looking guy and has star potential.

If Calzahge has an excellent performance over Kessler, I can see him doing ppv. I wish he wouldn't but hell boxers always look to make more money. And a fight with Calzaghe against ppl like Pavlik, or Hopkins will definitely be on ppv.

I would hope the old man Calzaghe loses to Kessler. Kessler has the power, style and looks (not ****) to be a big PPV star. Calzaghe is just too old, he should've stepped his **** up in his 20s, not at 35.

Yeah, but Mike don't you think Kessler fighting outside the US all the time will be prohibitive of the PPV big time?
