It proves that his defense nullified Ricky Hatton's offense, and that didn't happen vice-versa.

A decision win still puts one fighter over the other.

I don't understand why decision wins are the cardinal sin on boxingscene.

You have said that Hatton has the style to beat PBF. You said that Hatton has the footspeed and that he will be all in Floyd's chest. Ricky said the same.

Everybody knows how and what Floyd does. No surprises there. We have all seen his fights. Graham said that he has been following Floyd for years formulating this gameplan. If Hatton doesn't beat Floyd, it is because Hatton CAN'T beat Floyd. Period.

So if Hatton loses, NO EXCUSES. You can't claim any pyrrhic victories for a decision loss or a stoppage on cuts. This is boxing.

Similarly, I will have ZERO excuses for however Floyd loses.

Side note: Hatton is a top ten p4p fighter. Who is the bigger man. Remember that.
I won't claim pyrrhic victory for Hatton if he loses. You're are missing my point. In my view the importance of this fight regards Mayweather's legacy and to attend to the lingering questions which surround Floyd's career.

In order to answer those questions, Floyd must win and win convincingly, preferably by KO or a convincing TKO stoppage. I am assuming (safely IMO) that another UD will consititute the same sort of fight that we're used to seeing from Floyd. IN that event, no questions pertaining to Floyd are clarified and nothing is resolved as far as I'm concerned.
