He wasn't because the Floyd camp knew he was too dangerous to risk superstar status on. The same logic DLH used when he avoided Tszyu like the plague. Is it any coincidence that both DLH, Floyd, and even Mosely did not fight Tszyu? You may think so, but I think not. Before attacking me, you might want to take another look at the situation because you are wrong on this one. ok? enough mud slinging....peace.
You are wrong. Facts have been presented. Not oppinions but articles that state the facts that establishes the time frame when of floyd moving up to 140 to Tszyu losing his title....to Tszyu personally saying he didn't want to fight floyd. Now he wants to fight him because he is a washed up hasbeen looking to score one last big payday.

Mayweather had 2 goals in mind when he went to 140.

      1. Become a PPV star.
      2. Fight Kostya Tszyu for the unified 140 championship.

His first goal was to become a PPV star, as to be able to bank big on the Tszyu fight. Why not fight the man at 140 on PPV, instead of WCB?

So, he choose the most exciting fighter in the division, who had a huge loyal fan following. He also had the WBC belt, which explains why Mayweather fought against Corley and Bruseles (both were WBC title eliminators):

      2005-01-22 139 Henry Bruseles 138¾ 21-2-1
American Airlines Arena, Miami, Florida, United States W TKO 8 12
~ time: 2:55 | referee: Jorge Alonso | judge: Harold Laurens | judge: Gerald Ritter | judge: Peter Trematerra ~
      WBC Light Welterweight Title eliminator
Mayweather ahead 70-63, 70-62 and 69-64 going into the 8th, knocked Bruseles down twice and the ringside physician stopped the contest.

      2004-05-22 140 DeMarcus Corley 140 28-2-1
Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City, New Jersey, United States W UD 12 12
~ referee: Benjy Esteves Jr. | judge: Melvina Lathan 119-107 | judge: Gale Van Hoy 118-108 | judge: William Boodhoo 119-108 ~
      WBC Light Welterweight Title Eliminator
Corley down in 8th and 10th.

So anyways, Floyd wants to fight Gatti, and win in an impressive fashion, as to make his PPV debut absolutely stellar and make his prospects for being a PPV star rise in a big way.

At the same time, Kostya Tszyu was scheduled to fight Ricky Hatton, and was expected to win. That obviously didn't happen, so the Mayweather-Tszyu fight prospect was ruined. However, does this mean that Mayweather ducked Tszyu?

What is incredible is that none of the firm believers that Floyd ducked Tszyu can produce any piece of evidence that says that Mayweather pulled out of negotiations, or he asked for a ton of money. I also haven't seen anything that Tszyu says he wanted Mayweather. The closest I can get to that is that Tszyu said that all challengers were welcome.

Which sounds like they wanted the fight more? The guy who called out the other by name after fights at 130, 135 and 140, or the guy who just says that he will fight anyone? I'd say Mayweather was the one who was giving the more convincing case for actually wanting the fight.

Can anyone give any better counterlogic or sourced evidence that I am wrong or just your opinions with little to back them up?
you have a fetish with Mayweather and fighters like him, and also scumbags, things that lack integrity in general, you champion and want people to champion those and what lack merit you ****ing *** Daniel or David Weinstein.

Mayweather has not proved done anything to merites being championed. Being the focul point in boxing. If he beats Hatton in convincing fashion it will be a step in the right direction.

No articles have been presented that quoted Tszyu as saying "I don't want Floyd." Where is that article? Show it to me. You won't because you cannot. It's bull****. No articles or sources have been presented that negate my argument at all. I've read that **** posted by Dios wherein Floyd says he wants Tszyu. What does that prove? Floyd also said he wanted Winky Wright! The fact is that when it came down to nutcutting, no deal was had. That's the fact.

Floyd didn't sign to go the Bruseles / Gatti route until mid Dec 04. He had over a month to approach Tszyu about a fight post his destruction of Mitchell but never even muttered a word.

And KT didn't turn him down because he was too small. It was a response in passing to an interviewer, not an offer from Mayweather's camp.

Article have been presented of Floyd showing interest in fighting Tszyu.

Now you find me an article Where Kostya Tszyu ever said that he wanted to fight Floyd Mayweather prior to losing to Ricky hatton. If you can do that then you might have a point.....if not......give it a rest.

Kostya wanting a fight with floyd now is pointless.

Thank you for clearing that up Cletus. The Mayweatherites come down in swarms and sometimes I just can't squash all the flies in one post.

Wiley, you failed to prove your point. You have not posted a single credible instance where Tszyu said he was pursuing a PBF fight. This Tszyu/PBF thing is your own personal OCD. Get off it. It's a broken record with you.

You are embarrassing yourself, dude. Stop it.

If you have anything credible, go to that other little thread you created. Somebody might visit. But for now, you have lost.

Read Cletus' posts. And I have cited one article where Tszyu, even though he's 38 and retired, says a fight with Floyd would be great. Even now he wants the fight. Even now. Now your argument that prime Tszyu ran from Floyd is even more ludicrous.
