Uhhh, no Gatti was not shot. He was on a five win streak, and just had knocked out Dorin. Watch his earlier fights. If anything he was a better boxer at that time. He just didn't have the same size advantage as he did at 130. Against Robinson he looked horrible. Just carelessly traded punches. He was getting his ass kicked against Rodriguez until the last couple of rounds. Gatti's run at 140 was the best he looked since destroying Ruelas. That's a fact. He shouldn't have even lost to Ward, so he really should have been on a 7 fight win streak.ANYONE who thinks Gatti wasn't shot to pieces simply does NOT know what they are talking about.
He was never Top 10 anyway even in his prime.
Is fights with Ward are the only thing that stand out.
As for Castillo , I would say he was shot as well.
Not as bad as Gatti but defo shot.
Castillo would have beaten Gatti put it that way.
As usual the Floyd ball suckers replied to this thread trying to justify his lame opposition.
Proving even more that there opinions are not credible because they fail to see anything wrong with Floyd on any level.
You're just trying to discredit Floyd. It's obvious.Comment

Gatti was not "shot". Was he past his "best" days? ABSOLUTELY. Not that Gatti's "best days" were all that great to begin with.
But Gatti looked fine BEFORE Mayweather, and he actually even looked good against that Euro with the padded record (damgaard) AFTER FMJ.
Gatti was not "obviously shot" like Castillo was, for example. In the first round vs Hatton, we all saw castillo was slow and uncoordinated. He almost fell with no contact.
To be honest, I think what "shot" Gatti was that last round of the baldomir fight. Gatti was trying to slug with a bigger, stronger man. Baldo has a titanium chin. So, as Gatti started to tire, he was eating shots from a big man, including a career-changing left hook that "ruined" him.Comment
