He wouldn't have won either way, but was he a shot boxer? And was Castillo as shot boxer when Hatton got to him? I think they both had impressive wins against shot boxers. What do you think?
When gatti fought floyd, was gatti a shot boxer?

Gatti was shot all to hell when he fought Floyd, but even on his best day the fight still ends the same way. It's hard to say who was more shot between Gatti and the Castillo that fought Hatton, but they were both pretty far past it. -
I agree... both men had ridiculously good performances against shot boxers.Comment

Both were hella shot, the bad thing is that Gatti stuck when he should have moved, and ended up getting tagged because of it.Comment

Man, shot or not, there was no way Gatti could win the fight. He was sooooo much slower. Never picks up his left hand. He got peppered by jabs by slower fighters, just because he never picks up his left. Look at his face in all those fights against slower fights that simply pecked him to death, regardless if he won the fight or not, he still looked like crap at the end. Now combine, keeping left hand down, very fast hands on your opponent, and overall, completely outclassed technically by your opponent. What you expect to happen to Gatti? It was a fight that was going to be bad looking worse. I don't wanna talk about Hatton's lame win over Castillo.Comment
