Btw, if you want to see a ****ed up example of weight cutting, look no further than horse racing. Those guys routinly die early deaths due to a carreer of bulimia (sp) and anorexia, aimed at keeping themselves below a certain weight.

Probly applies to **** like ski jumping as well.

Yes he did. And he's still trying to say MP should skip lightweight and pass GO all the way to welterweight.

Something has got to be used to determine who fights who. And its weight. Been that way for a long time and will stay that way. Drying themselves out as you know also has its negative effects. Its their ability to know their limits and not over do it. How many fighters have lost fights over doing it? Edision Miranda is a recent example. He was totally drained and lost what could have been a great fight. He was slow and lost all his power.

Dios. I respect you and appreciate your input when its intelligent. But this time you have gone too far into the black hole of Mayweather (J/K) .

MP and Roach already stated there is a posibility that he move up to Lightweight. What more could you ask of a guy that started at 106. Not to mention he still has ton's and opponents and money begging him to stay.

I agree that the number of weight classes should be reduced. But I repeat once again that the numbers are 19th Century numbers. 160lb is not a middleweight, it should be 180. HW should be 225+

One class for people below 140 lbs is enough. How many men weight that anyway?

A lot of casual fans complain about having to watch tiny men fight on "big" cards, and understandably so.

People today are much bigger than in 1870

                Its a good point.

As for the weight classes being a farce, its all about safety. Same day weigh in were scrapped in favour of weigh ins the day before purely to allow the fighters to rehydrate.

Or... maybe... he actually just thinks weigh-in procedures suck.

You people ***** that all Dios does is defend Mayweather, but when he makes a post that is not about him, you dig down to find some way to make the post about Mayweather.

                    It's kind of lame.

you made soem good points, but you had to add your idol and perhaps male role model aka floyld. i mean i was surpised there is someone who is 6 foot in the welter weight division.

anyway floyld could dry out and fight the 140 people or actually come out and fight someone like cotto. until he does fight a prime welter weight like mosley or cotto then he isn't proven to be the best yet. p4p he is, but that's because of his resume and wins compared to a cotto. but that doesn't mean that cotto can't beat him.
