Fair play about the age. I just get annoyed that people often talk like Lennox took the fight on short notice when it was the other way around



Why shouldn't he agree? He's the champ and already in camp. The HW champ will "whip any man in the house." That's the idea of having a HW champ.

Watch the tape of Lennox going to his corner. He couldn't walk!!! Lennox was done, he couldn't fight the seventh and he certainly couldn't have done anything to make the cut worse. Lennox either would have failed to answer the bell or he would have been out in the first fifteen seconds.

But the cut was bad at that point so all is fair

You need to watch the tape yourself. Right after Lewis sits down at the end of the 6th, Manny says "All right baby, this is your fight now" and Lewis says "Yeah, I got it". I kinda doubt he would say that and then change his mind and refuse to come out - but then hey, VK has changed his mind and refused to fight about 5 times now, so I guess it's possible...
