then vitali would be like morgan freeman in million dollar baby, with only one eye.

only a real sadist without a conscience would look back in hindsight and be mad that the fight was stopped.

Wlad Owns I think you're mostly right, but you do acknowledge that cutting a guy is a legit way to beat him. Lennox won fair and square, though he wasn't storming back or anything, he would have been unconscious in another minute. BUT he won.

Another myth about this fight: VITALI is the one who took the fight on short notice. Don't say Lennox was out of shape, he had all the advantages

Vitali was too tough, determined and he had too much heart to let Lewis take him in the 7th. There was no way Lewis was gonna KO the Iron chinned Vitali in the 7th. With the 1 minute rest, Vitali would have gone for broke and caught Lewis with another right hand ending the fight and tarnishing Lewis' legacy.

dude niether of the Klitschko's would have beaten Lenny in his prime so wrap up

People think Lewis collapsed to his seat at the end of the last rounds. What you forget to see is that the round ended in Lewis' corner, so he didn't have to walk back at all. And anyone who's tired will sometimes just "collapse" on his seat. Done it plenty of times after an exhausting round. That doesn't mean he wouldn't of made it to the 7th round, he freaking threw right hands before the round ended and looked more fresh than Vitali.
I think Lennox would have won if somehow in a ******ed world they would've let Klitchko continue. He looked more tired and the momentum was in Lewis' favor at that time.

I think he scared Lennox that night and when Vitali wanted to still fight Lennox even after the fight was stopped Lennox looked scared and didn't retaliate when Vitali wanted to fight him still. Lennox wanted no part of a rematch against a guy that could destroy his reputation. I like Lennox Lewis alot, but I just feel like he was scared of Vitali. Putting a big hole in Vitali's eye doesn't make me think he wasn't afraid of him, if Lennox wasn't afraid of Vitali he would have gaven vitali a rematch and made a ridiculous amount of money in the process. But Lennox seemed to care more about his legacy as a boxer, by dodging a rematch with Vitali. I really believe Vitali would have destroyed Lennox in a rematch.

Fair play about the age. I just get annoyed that people often talk like Lennox took the fight on short notice when it was the other way around

Why shouldn't he agree? He's the champ and already in camp. The HW champ will "whip any man in the house." That's the idea of having a HW champ.
