I didn't just jump in as soon as the fight was signed and say, "Cotto KO 3 pwn pwn!!" like nuthuggers would do.
    Calculated nutsucking is still nutsucking.

Understand something. Continiously digging shots into the kidneys and vulnerable parts of the torso has NOTHING to do with power. Cotto has to hit guys hundreds of times in the same spot to accrue damage.

When was the last time Cotto knocked out an opponent CLEAN with a head shot or ONE body shot???

Matter of fact.. How MANY times has Cotto done that???

Now, how many times has Mosley done that?

Quintana is very overated from beating Joel Julio who struggled with with Cosme Rivera. If Quintana didn't like Cotto's body assault he wouldn't like Mosley's either. Urkal??? The same guy that had his light put out by Vivian Harris? Come on!
I think you're right, and I absolutely agree with you. While John David Jackson was Mosley's trainer, I remember the basics ( boxing, combinations, etc) being the points of emphasis during the estrada cruz fights.Even the commentators during the Estrada fight said that mosley was letting estrada off the hook.

Also, during the Berto-Estrada fight (according to Jim Lampley) Estrada was quoted as saying that mosley's left hook to the body was the single hardest punch he's ever felt.

But right now? I don't think so.

Cotto is by far the harder hitter. Mosley does hit hard, I just think Cotto hits a lil harder.
One thing that you're forgetting is that, while the loss of speed, agility, explosiveness, and overall quickness, in many cases, can be clearly visible in an aging fighter, power, generally speaking, is the last thing to go in a professional fighter. As a matter of fact, it can remain for a fighter's entire career.

                  You're comparing resumes now?

That Cotto fighting prospects at 140 who all had and have potential to be legit champs.

Cottos last 10 fights and he has only had 30 fights. His resume ain't that bad. Im not trying to compare it to Mosleys though.

About that Mosley Vs Collazo shot, I forgot how he got knocked down. I should have looked it up again before posting.

Either way it was a power shot, but one hit KO power? In his last couple of fights? Compared to Cottos? Come on now.

If you wanna compare their powers at their primes then ok, but right now Cotto would be the harder hitter.

Compared to Cotto's??? What does that mean?

Cotto has no discernable power. He's an accumulation puncher.

And not even a standard accumulation puncher. He accrues damage by hitting unorthodox target areas that are HIGHLY sensitive to trauma.

                    Cotto's power is an ILLUSION.
