I post this question because I keep reading Pacquiao fans saying Pac would annihilate Mayweather, if so, why not move up?

The only real fights left in his division is a Marquez rematch, and a war with Katsidis. Guzman is an overrated hype job who will get KTFO when he steps up in competition like Rey Bautista did, and he hasn't even earned a shot at Manny.

So why not just move up? The competition is there, the fights are there, and if he wants to be considered an all time great, his legacy requires it.
    Question.

Why not Fake FLoyd go down.

****** thread made by a ****** thread starter.

Pacquiao would get slaughtered at lightweight, let alone jr. Middle Weight, and him fighting anyone at Welter is suicide. They are stronger, more talented, faster, and bigger, and better up there than he is..

question: so you think junior jones is better than PAC because he won against Barrera twice in his prime?

I am shocked by this thread...Pacman is pushing it by fighting at 130 as it is...yet alone welterweight...his best assets are his speed (which creates power when he lands cleanly) and his conditioning...he would lose that if he packed on 17+lbs of muscle...

it is not about numbers all of the time...it is about what is natural for the fighter's body type and frame...

Pac needs to clean up the division before moving up, I'm pretty sure he'll take on anyone, plus he can probably beat them all, so why not go for it. He should stop fighting guys way past their prime.

                Eh, false.

                Absolutely false.

I think because he knows he wont dominate at that weight. Of course the bigger fights would be there but his body probably wont be able to handle it.

Dude. You are not the first to say Pac would get slaughtered here and there and everywhere.

And when Pac instead slaughters them.

Be sure you have your own excuses.

Dozens and dozens of posters here have been exposed as idiots with such a an act. Keep it up. Pretty soon you'll be exposed too.

Couple things I want to touch on.

A.) This was a joke thread. I do want to see Pacquiao move up in weight but Welterweight would be suicide. I just made this thread because I keep seeing Pac fans saying Pacquiao can't carry that kind of weight, or that Pacquiao could murder Mayweather. So I veiled some sarcasm and made this thread.

B.) Pacquiao is still fighting below where he should be, and I think lightweight or light Welter would be a better fit for him.

C.) Contrary to popular belief I like Manny Pacquiao a lot, it's hard to hate a guy as good for the sport as he is. His rabid fans on the other hand I never seem to agree with because I prefer common sense to blind love/hate.

D.) The only real fights for Pacquiao in his current division lie in Juan Manuel Marquez and Michael Katsidis. I believe Pacquiao would detonate Juan Diaz by 10, Joan Guzman and Humberto Soto haven't even earned the right to fight Pacquiao. So in my eyes if he fights either one of them, he's ducking any legit threat.

Guzman is still unproven and hasn't had any sort of career defining win, regardless of what his promoters (posters on boxingscene) would lead you to believe. And Soto is a solid fighter who's best days are behind him, and even though his record is admirable his name is not known unles you are an avid fan of "Friday Night Fights" like myself or others here.

E.) Juan Manuel Marquez is interested in fighting Pacquiao again, the price just needs to be worked out. I agree that Marquez is a better technically sound fighter with more skill than Pacquiao in regards to sheer boxing ability. I don't agree that a rematch "couldn't sell ****" because Marquez "can't sell ****". Anybody who watches this sport seriously knows Marquez is a top 10 p4p fighter, and all of Pacquiao's fans know who Marquez is. He's the guy that gave Pacquiao the fight of his life and dominate dhim for 9 straight rounds. So don't tell me the fight would not sell.

F.) As for Joel Casamayor, he deserved a shot a Pacquiao years ago. His prime is too far gone to beat Pacquiao now. Don't get me wrong though, don't underestimate Joel. If the fight were to happen I think he'd give Pacquiao all he could handle in the early rounds until he gassed out later on and got TKO'd.
