i completely disagree. most of western europe has a higher standard of living. I mean look at new orleans, there are still people homeless there. I wouldn`t live in the us if you paid me.

No hate here for European fighters. ****, boxings a GLOBAL sport. I don't care where you come from, if your a great fighter, your GREAT. Period. And why'd you come here with this chip on your shoulder? That your some sort of "badss" because you grew up in a rough hood in Eastern Europe? Ask the people of Darfur or Somalia what ROUGH is. The Russian Mob? These people are dealing with Warlords with hundreds of men underneath their command carrying fully automatic weapons and RPG's, slaughtering them. So put a little perspective on how "hard" your ****** was.
So as far as European fighters go, no hate. Some of their FANS on the other hand...

As several stated (before and around most of these ridiculous, bull **** posts) it's not that it's dislike for them... but rather a liking towards ours.

We don't see a lot of prospects from overseas until they're finally stepping up to take a shot at a belt. And if our choices are somebody who we kinda' know and might like to somebody we've never seen... the choice becomes obvious.

Also, the road goes both ways. People around the world will always have some sense of nationalism when rooting for boxers (not in all cases, but most). It's not bad; unless it becomes degrading towards other or such blind nationalism that it overrides common sense.

I have nothing against foreign fighters. But to make the assumtion that america has less ******s & violence is bit rediculous. Our country has one of the highest murder rates in the world. No dissrepect but if a gang in east st. louis got a hold of you father that day and major had beef, they wouldn't have thought twice about killing him. There are ******s and slums everywere across the world....everyone should be treated the same. But boxing is a very enthic and cultural sport. You route for your heritage alot, and like everyone said, If you don't see or hear about a fighter then they don't get popular.
