Why do Americans Hate Overseas Fighters ?

It's pretty clear to me that Americans despise and are jealous of the invasion of overseas fighters. Is it because overseas fighters are White or is it just a nationalistic patriot dumbass thing? The two overseas areas that get hated on the most are definately Eastern Europe and the UK because some of the best fighters in boxing are from these areas. If I got a Dime for every Hatton,Calzaghe and Wlad Hate Thread I would be livin it up in Hawaii for the rest of my life, partying every night.

Being an Eastern European, I am sickened at the amount of hate that you Americans show towards us. NEWSFLASH, The Cold War is Over and you won. I'm happy as **** the Cold War ended because it allowed Eastern European fighters to turn Professional and take over boxing .

Overseas fighters will continue to get better and they are here to stay, so get used to it Americans.

Way back when, the soviets had no opportunity, Communist control was in. Reagan came in and The east Germany wall came down, and Communism, shortly thereafter, the East-Euros began to try it out. Once THEY started into boxing, the rest of Europe is trying to follow them. the # of Euros trying as pros now is higher than it was 20-40 years ago, and such. Boxing is not the only place this is happening. euros dominate tennis now, and many newcomers are/will be making it as pros. Sharapova made 23 million in promotions in her 19th year...that's incredible, I mean age.... NINETEEN!! ???...Rugby and Soccer ( futball ) are still big in Europe though.

I might be completely way off the mark but is the influx of more foreign champion's more common due too a lack of interest in Boxing in the states these day's due to UFC ,Ultimate fighting etc ,

wether this is true or not only American fight fan's can answer really but i feel if it is the case it is a positive thing for US fan's and european fan's

I think it's because as Americans, we feel the best competition is right here in the states. Therefore, our fighters come up fighting harder competition than the rest of the world. So an American prospect who is 20-0 seems way better than a British lad who's 20-0. Take Ricky Hatton for instance. Americans feel like he would not be undefeated if he came up fighting American fighters. Same for Joe Calzaghe. These are not my own feelings, but it's how us Americans are programmed. Better, faster, stronger. I feel that talent transcends oceans and language barriers.
