    Hatton: "I'm Not A Wrestler"

It annoys me a little bit when I read these stories to Ricky "Hook And Hold" Hatton. Inside fighting is a talent in it's own right. There's an art to fighting in close and finding the gaps to land your shots. It's as much of an art as being to able to box on the outside, and I hope the referee is just as respectful of my style of fighting as he is Floyd's and allows me to go about my business the way I would want to on December 8. I hope he let's us fight. I like to get in the zone, get in close and hurt people. I don't want to hold them. I'm not a wrestler, as some people are trying to portray me. That's not my style at all. Against Kostya Tszyu, I did alot of work in close and that performance has been described as one of the best by a British fighter ever. It's not me saying that, it's other people, so I just don't see how I can be criticized for my style now.

either way hatton, its illegal to hold and punch. I agree he is exciting at time sbut as of lately he does seem to be holding more. I also agree that inside fighting is an art that james toney and floyd mayweather have perfected but hattons inside fighting is totally different, although affective its not as pretty to watch at times.

huggy bear needs to learn defense then he wouldn't have to hold and hit so much. does he think we are ******. closing the gap in hattons mind is hugging a guy getting some shots off and then hugging the guy again before he can throw any punches back. floyd needs to be on his toes the first 4 rounds andthen in the middle rounds when hatton is beat up he should go to town on him.

I'm sure it will happen just like that.

He's not a wrestler true statement .. but he's bull****ting by saying he doesn't hold

saying he doesn't hold .. gimme a ****ing break

near the start of the 3rd round ... at 2:40

Kostya is literally stumbling because his right arm is being hugged by Hatton.

I know he's an aggressive fighter .. but come on .. thats ****ing rediculous.

can he make the holding a little easier to tollerate?

it was absolutly obsurd at times vs Kostya

especially how he spun him around and clubbed the back of the head in the very first.

I almost want to see how Jay Nady would react to stuff like that.

Dont worry it is only your opponents and their fans who critique your style because they dont want you to use it to beat their asses.

Floyd starts a fight 3 inches taller than he finishes.
Due to him wearing the soles of his boots off with all his running.
