    Andre Berto becomes mandatory

With the big recent win, Andre Berto becomes mandatory challenger to two separate alphabet titles including one held by linear welterweight champ Floyd Mayweather, Jr., and the other Kermit Cintron. Whoa.....
What would you suggest for Berto's handlers?

Damn...he's biting off more then he can chew if he faces both of those guys.

Cintron would find his mark on berto's chin, gents. Believe that.

Doesn't matter. He still needs two maybe three more fights against some mid level guys. Even then he should avoid Cintron. Kermit would knock him out.

It's too bad Berto is such a thick ****er.

What he really needs to do is drop down.

His stature at WW is definitely a disadvantage, plus he doesn't have the foot speed that Floyd does to get in and out against bigger opponents. One thing he does have is handspeed combined with hard combos, he can put them together like few in the WW division. He needs a couple of more fights to mesh his defense and his offense and I think he'll surprise any champ he faces. Don't know if he'll win though.

I agree with everybody but then again, I would take the risk against Mayweather. I've seen too many boxers blow there million dollar paydays after waiting before facing the top guy(lucrative bout)

My advice to Berto and his people. TAKE THE MAYWEATHER FIGHT!

Take the Cintron fight if its resonably good too!

I've remember Pito Cardona turned down a huge payday against Mosely, Johnson agaisnt Mosley, Lazcano against Mayweather, R. Garcia against Jones Jr. prodagy forgot his name and the list goes on.

These days if a fighter has a chance to get a big money fight they should take it, too many fighters are too protected and end up losing any ways. Cintron is a prime examply that a lose can help a fighter, after all some old school fighter have said that for a fighter to be better or he has to lose first. Not that i would like every fighter to lose before haveing a world title fight but i think it more as every fighter should take on every oppertunity he gets.

I'd like to see Berto get a shot vs Margarito. I think Margarito would take him out, and it would be a good little comeback win for Margarito. I think he would TKO Berto in fact.

                  Agreed.

Berto's finding out the hard way the majority of upper tier welters can take his punch. He posed a bit less after throwing heavy shots on Estrada than he did his last few fights - but I think it's clear Berto is having an identity crisis. He's not going to be able to rely on punching power at this weight.

Bertos got some explosive punches man, Contron is too big for him though. Kermits got long ass arms and I dont think Berto would be able to get in on him.
