Yeah...um.....I was there. I know what it was.

He doesn't have it anymore. Physically.
Juan Diaz is an absolute beast. Where as David Diaz stunned him a couple times in the 1st round, I shudder to think what Juan would have done.

You don't need to try and boost Manny up by saying that Terrible was still in his prime. Manny is a great fighter and respect to him. But don't build something up that isn't there.

There's a reason Morales picked David and not Juan or Julio. It would have been a tainted belt anyway because Casamayor was stripped for absolutely no reason.

Like I said the KOs took a lot from him. Morales has, and always been, a fighter who thrives on his confidence. After having been battered pillar-to-post, and experiencing his first KO losses TWICE, he obviously fought Diaz w/ a great psychological disadvantage, which sometimes is EVERYTHING to some fighters. And yet, he still KOd Diaz, which could only be attributed to his physical conditioning.

damn all these pac haters. nobody here gave pac a chance against morales prior to their 2nd fight. now they're belittling pac's accomplishments by calling him shot by the 2nd fight. it was pac who made him the way he looked after 10rnds in the 2nd fight.

one poster here even has the audacity to mention in another thread that in the 3rd pac-em fight, erik lost NOT because of pac, but because of his weak legs. ******ity at its best, who would lose his legs in 3 rounds after undergoing a special velocity strength training?

Yes, he caught Diaz with one FLUSH shot when Diaz was swarming him in the 1st round. David wasn't even hurt.

I'm quite sure that Morales came in under the best conditioning that his body allowed but it wasn't enough. The man was crumbling and barely made it to the bell. (He lost the fight because he gave up too many of the later rounds)

Did Manny take alot from him? Yes. He emptied Morales ALREADY draining tank.

No one is belittling Pac's accomplishments. Your just trying to turn it into something bigger than it was. Manny's a great fighter and doesn't need for you guys to say, "Manny KO'd Prime Morales" to make it look any better. He knocked the guy out twice. All the respect in the world.

But you can't say with a straight face that Erik Morales was the same fighter he was in the late 90's and early 2000. You can't. Because then you would be lying.

And I am one of Erik Morales biggest fans...but I knew (and said here on boxingscene) Pac was going to win the 2nd fight. So am I one of the "nobodys"?

I'm hoping you know I meant Juan Diaz(the real 135 champ) not David Diaz the one he fought. And yes Juan Diaz would mop the floor with him.

These PacHaters are the worst of the lot. Boxing sure is better-off without them.

No. Your "prime" Morales had a hard time with Jamili whom Pac KOd in the 2nd round. Pac owns Morales ass at any stage of their careers.
