I AM EXPOSING THIS AS A LIE:
Ricky hatton beat Kostya Tszyu in early June, 2005....at 140.
Floyd Mayweather beat Gatti in late June, 2005...at 140.
FLOYD DID NOT FIGHT AT 147 UNTIL NOV, 2005.
Howinthe**** could PBF move up to avoid Tszyu when Hatton had the 140 title?
Ricky Hatton was offered a fight with Floyd Mayweather for Ricky's LWW belt, and the Hattons did not even want to negotiate. They said that they wanted more fights before they faced Mayweather. WE HAVE ALL SEEN THAT THE HATTONS ASKED FOR TUNE-UPS BEFORE PBF.
If you challenge me on this, I will GLADLY give you multiple articles, including the quotes from Ray Hatton. And Frank Warren. And several different writers.
Hyena, you have said this repeatedly, and I gave you a pass. Enough. It isn't true. It isn't nearly true. Stop saying it. You are lying.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal is Nevada's most trusted source for local news, Las Vegas sports, business news, gaming news, entertainment news and more.
"I can't make these guys fight," said an exasperated Mayweather, who had hoped to face Wright in what would have been one of the year's most intriguing bouts instead of what will turn out to be nothing more than a glorified exhibition.
Former lightweight, welterweight and super welterweight champion Shane Mosley was offered a bout against Mayweather, but declined.
Mosley said he wanted a couple of tuneups, but said he'd fight Mayweather next year.
Kostya Tszyu isn't sure he'll fight again. His conqueror, Ricky Hatton, turned Mayweather down before money was even discussed.
Oscar De La Hoya has mentioned Mayweather, but said he won't consider him until late 2006.
That's around the time when Top Rank promoter Bob Arum said he'd be willing to put young and promising Miguel Cotto in against Mayweather.Comment

Listen to you people arguing about your degrees. Nobody gives a **** and it does'nt mean anything.
When someone makes a point, you should ask if it's right. Talking about what degree you have makes you seem arrogant and insecure. It also does'nt add any weight to your argument.
I also can't believe you people are actually arguing with Energy. He such an obvious know-nothing that an "LOL" would suffice. You make him feel like his points have validity when you counter them.
All he does is make off the top of the head, make it up as you go along, baseless, pointless, incorrect, rhetorical and completely ******ed statements, which make no sense whatsoever.Comment

It's not a lie. It's the sad truth. Mayweather had years to take on Tszyu. He didn't, but he continued to say he was the best welter that ever lived. Meanwhile Tszyu held the title at 140 for over a decade, is HOF at 140, and is considered one of the best 140s of modern times. Period. Is it just a coincidence to you that Oscar avoided Tszyu too? The bottom line is that Tszyu specialized in dismantling the slick, fast and flashy boxer. Kostya Tszyu was too dangerous to risk superstar status on. Too dangerous. And don't give me that Showtime/HBO excuse, it's crap.I AM EXPOSING THIS AS A LIE:
