Taylor was knocked out cold, he wouldn't have even made a 20 count. If they have a rematch Pavlik will probably kill Taylor.

Taylor wanted out of that fight, no excuses. He went to the corner to opt out of the bout, no other explanation. I'm sorry he let down his fans, but truth is he'll never argue the stoppage. There was no will in him.

I think Taylor's will was broken after Pavlik amazingly survived the 2nd round and then came back in the 3rd round like nothing had happened, he even dominated the 3rd round and had Taylor backing up against the ropes the whole round.

After all, Pavlik was all over the place in the 2nd, but was able to carry on, and ultimately win.

I mean, the ref stopped it when Taylor was already down, not while he was still standing. To me it looked like a knockdown and nothing more.

I'm not suggesting that Taylor would have beaten the count, but I do feel the ref was premature in stopping the bout....

seeing it on tv is one thing, seeing it in person face to face is another thing.

Who knows maybe the ref saw Taylors eyes and knew he was out before he ever hit the ground, just like Zertuche.

I think Taylor may have been asleep before going down, this is why the ref stepped in

Taylor was not making an attempt to even fight back and he was out on his feet. If the fight was not stopped he could have been hurt even worse. Smoger is not a ref that is known for premature stoppages, so you have to trust his judgement. Taylor was down and was in no way getting up, you could see it the way he fell and went down. The ref made the right call, because it could have ended much worse for Taylor.
