Some observers describe the right that Pavlik landed in the 7th as being out of nowhere. It was far from that IMO - but it was certainly another big moment in a fight with some surprises. I'll bet the Pavlik supporters weren't expecting what happened in the 2nd.. They wouldn't have expected it again if it came again in the 9th. Taylor was by all outward appearance taking the round off when Pavlik put him to sleep.

Taylor ****ed up. He beat himself as much as Kelly Pavlik beat him.
Kelly didn't make it any easier on himself by dropping his hands, jawing at Taylor like an idiot. JT would have finally won a high profile fight in spectacular fashion....

Pavlik should not have gotten caught by that shot in the second and let himself get caught by with that shot from Taylor and JT really, I mean REALLY unloaded his full professional load on Pavlik LANDING CLEAN and could not put the guy away. I think the KD Taylor got was lucky because after Kelly survived JT wasn't even close to hurting him again once Pavlik tightened up his defense. Pavlik is a heavy fisted, granite chinned marauder and I don't mean that in a nut hugging way.

That was a perfect 1-2 thrown by Taylor, perfectly timed. Im pretty sure ANYONE would have gotten caught.

                  That's a fascinating point.

Taylor would have been over the moon. Instead he's one foot in the grave.

I'm not sure if you really mean that or if you're just attempting to stimulate conversation. Taylor was on his way out from beginning of the 6th round. There was never any way that bout was going to the judges. Round 2 was one of those things that can happen in any fight, to any fighter. But, that fight was Pavlik's from the start.

Pavlik can be beat, but not by Taylor.

Pavlik is getting MORE than credit BTW.

He's getting his knob polished left and right.

Come off it with the ****ing melodrama..
