Mayweather fighting Baldomir for the same money is literally saying **** the fans.
So not being fan friendly means you suck? I see.

Anyways, since you talk about who is good and who is not, who has Margarito beaten to gain elite status?

Anyone better than Zab Judah? Maybe, Joshua Clottey is not too bad. However, it's not like there was a lot separating the two in terms of resume.

People were on a Baldomir high, just like they are on a Pavlik high right now (not to the same extent, but whatever). I think Mayweather would be even more heavily criticized had he chosen Margarito instead of Baldomir.

Oh, and I forgot to mention. He wasn't the lineal champ.

Genaro Hernandez and Jose Luis Castillo were never champions. Jose Luis Castillo won (barely) his alphabet belt from Stevie Johnson. Genero Hernandez won the vacant WBA belt, vacated it and then won the WBC belt from an old Azumah Nelson. Neither Hernandez nor Castillo unified the titles or defeated the previous linear champions (Brian Mitchell and Pernell Whitaker). Stevie Johnson was never a champion at lightweight and Azumah Nelson was, like Johnson, merely an alphabet titlist. Stevie Johnosn won his alphabet belt from Jean Baptiste Mendy and Mendy won that vacant WBC belt in a bout with Lamar Murphy.

But that means nothing anyway. Just random banter to piss you off.

He was the best fighter in those divisions anyway.

Cept I think Casamayor could of beat him. Stevie was good too..would of liked to see that fight.

        But anyway..
Haha, I thought so... your posts are aggravating me a hell of a lot more than usual today.

I don't like the lineal champ formula anyway.

If that's the case, heavyweights will never have a lineal champ again, because they haven't beaten Rocky Marciano.

Also, even if you just go by recent unification, please remember that would mean that Shannon Briggs was THE MAN at heavyweight after he beat "Big" George Foreman. Travesty.

The closest thing to a lineal champion there is in the sport is THe Ring champion... which Baldomir was.

Okay, now that **** is pretty funny. Ricky Hatton has some damn good one-liners.

And I agree. I always felt the lineal title was a little strange. It is good in certain circumstances, however.

He could have even fought them both.

Well, how about Mayweather ducking Margarito?

Some boxing fans have short memories.

Anyone remember Bob Arum offering Mayweather 8 million PLUS A SHARE OF PPV revenue for Nov. 4?

                I sure do.

Anyone also remember Mayweather paying 750,000 OUT OF HIS OWN pocket to buy out his contract with Arum?

                I sure do.

Oh, and remember guys, "if it makes dollars it makes cents (or sense...whatever)" - Mayweather
Hey bro, You speak the truth.

Dios and Isis are just some lopsided ****s that can't stand to see the truth. Once Hatton demolishes Gayweather they wont have the balls to come back on here with that ****** **** again. Ofcourse they will make every excuse in the book, and blame everything they can to avoid the simple truth. Mayweather has been a protected fighter since leaving 135. He doesn't have the chops to hang with World Class opposition above 135 or he would have fought any of the superstars that reside in the weight divisions he sailed through fighting the b and c level guys. They say straps made him do it, but the truth is, straps are an excuse to avoid real threats.

Taylor could have avoided Pavlik and claimed he was green and not worthy, but he manned up, and for that he deserves respect. Floyd has made a mountain of money fighting anything but the best..

**** Floyd--Hatton will bend his little ass over come December-Bank on that!!

                Hatton tko10 or sooner!!!

                  !!!
Oscar Delahoya on May 5th, 2007 at 154 pounds is better opposition than ANYBODY that Ricky Hatton has ever fought. ANYBODY.

                  Period.

Now he made 8 million plus PPV revenue right for fighting Baldomir right.

Now, do me a favour. Subtract 8 million and 750,000. **** it.

                    Let's round that off:
Subtract 8 million and 1 million.

                    What's the return investment???

"If it makes dollars, it makes cents". - Mayweather

At that time Carlos had a big win over Judah & a win over Gatti and was a movie of the week star. But at the time Mayweather fought Carlos, he was a bigger name than Margarito.

Well the calender is a tad bit of a concern. So... let me see, since you are have called Baldomir vs. Margarito a draw (incorrectly), let's see how you are going to say that the De La Hoya fight was worse for Mayweather than a showdown with Margarito would have been?

It was probably for the same mount of money and staying at 147 is much more corageous than moving up in weight. The WBO welterweight belt is definately better than the WBC 154 belt, right?

                      For ****'s sake.
