Collazo is a very underrated fighter and Mosley actually OUT-WORKED the 25 year old. People forget this. Collazo has a helluva chin and the Mosley that fought him that night would give anybody at 147 lbs. I was impressed by the work-rate and movement of Shane and I believe that SUGAR IS BACK for one last run of glory!!
How Will Cotto Deal With A Mosley Flurry?

Two things he CAN do: protect himself, staying out of harms way or better yet, resort to "LOW BLOWS".
They need to put that in the contract clause ASAP: Automatic DQ
Gentlemen: Let's keep the fight clean
Protect Yourself at all times:

I like Collazo and picked him to win; but you have to pressure a fighter like Mosely to win. You make him work harder than he's able to. Collazo didn't. Mosley hasnt knocked out anyone of not in a while. Vargas has been hurt several more times than Cotto, and was a shell of his former self. I just cant see Shane knocking Cotto out. I can see Cintron, maybe Margarito knocking Cotto out, but not Shane.Comment

You're dead wrong about this and people are going to find out about this come November. Mosley is a BOXER-BRAWLER, he LOVES pressure fighters. Pressure fighters are Mosley's bread and butter as he loves to mix it up with them with his combinations and simply out-brawl them. The only way to beat Mosley (as he was beaten) is to be a rangy fighter a la Winky and Forrest. Cotto is going to be there for Mosley to hit all night long and he will find the mark.
Cotto is going to come forward and he's going to get Mosley moving side to side, pumping his hands back and forth. Cotto is then going to lunge in and Mosley will use his superior speed and footwork to get the angles on Cotto's left side which is quite vulnerable. Look for Mosley Left hook to the body then left hook to the head combination to hit its mark all night long. I always thought Mosley's hooks had Tayloresque technique on them at 147. Just like Taylor caught Pavlik, Mosley will catch Cotto at some point in the fight and stun him. And Mosley is no Zab Judah, he will pounce on him with a vengeance, but in a controlled assault and take him out.Comment

Mosley is old but Ive said this a million times in every sport. I said that were living in a totally different era now. In all of sports you use to be just about finished at age 30. However, if you look around right now in every single major sport guys are playing for alot longer now and still playing at a high level. Guys primes last alot longer now and even when there out there prime they can still play at a high level.
36 now is not like it was 15 years agoComment

Im the biggest Malignaggi fan there is but we all know that fighting him is different then Mosley. Paulie has the combos but he's feather fisted. Its not the same as a guy throwing those flurries with the power of MosleyI don't even think of this like the Judah fight at all. Judah is a southpaw for one, and he doesn't go to the body much. Mosley is conventional and goes to the body a lot. Mosley throws a lot of three-five punch combinations. Judah didn't throw many combinations at all. Its just a completely different fight.
And to answer your question. He'll deal with them the same way he did Malignaggi. Keep his hands up, his chin down, and press forward. If Cotto is forced to fight backwards, he'll do that too.Comment

Great post! Alot of people tend to not know or forget this. I've said this before that I don't think a pressure will beat Mosley. He's too skillful. Mosley has problems with fighters that use their jabs & their timing. No way Mosley loses in a shootout with a fighter that will stand right in front of him. He countered punched the hell out of Collazo & exploited the holes in his defense. He'll do the same to Cotto but more often because Cotto has more holes in his defense than Collazo & less speed. You're dead wrong about this and people are going to find out about this come November.
