How Will Cotto Deal With A Mosley Flurry?

and I dont mean this in a negative way but in a serious way. This fight has heaven written all over it. I dont think Shane is the same guy he was when he was younger but he's also not the same guy he was when he was losing. At that time he was basically a one punch guy that had to fight in spurts. In his last few fights he's gotten his flurries back and one them Im really looking forward to seeing is how Cotto will respond to that.

Even thought Cotto has fought speed guys like Zab & guys with good combos & power like Torres, I still think Mosley will be a bit of a shock to him. Something tells me that unless Shane turns old overnight then Cotto will have hell dealing with those flurries and his combinaton of speed & power. Cotto has never been in the ring with anything like that while Shane may not have fought anyone exactly like Cotto but he's fought big tough guys so I dont think Cotto will be a shock to him. Being in the ring with guys like Forrest twice, Oscar twice, Winky twice, Vargas twice, along with some other good guys like Collazo makes Cotto nothing new to Shane.

With that being said, I could see Shane resting in between some flurries and then Cotto chopping him in half with numerous body shots. To me, this is like the most perfect fight in boxing from a pure excitment standpoint and I think it will live up to it. Im leaning towards Shane for the same reason I said that I would lean towards Clottey vs Cotto. I think those guys combos will bother Cotto and on one of them he will block or take every single punch except for the last one and that will stun him and Shane will finish him. I think Shane will fire a combo and Cotto will block them but he will try to fire back while Shane still has his last punch coming and it will wobble him and then Shane will finish it. I do pray though that Smoger is the ref because I could see both of these guys getting hurt bad and an idiot ref stopping it way too soon and changing history like it probally wouldve happened in the Taylor-Pavlik fight

Yeah you can't forget that Mosley is one of the best body punchers himself.

I've picked him to win the fight since it was a prospect. I don't think Cotto will be able to deal with his speed and resiliency. Because people compare what Shane could potentially do to what Judah did in the first 4 rounds against Cotto

Shane is more durable, and can take a better punch. Not to mention he doesn't fade down the stretch of fights......even though he can start off fast.

Who knows? How will Mosley deal with Cotto's preassure? Who know? Let's just wait and see...

        I just hope it's a great fight.

Btw, I have a feeling that this fight will be easier for Cotto than the Judah fight....

Shane's age is catching up to him and a fight w/ Cotto is not a good time for him to hit a wall. Shane will start off fast and in charge, but by late he'll simply fade. So to answer the question is that Cotto will survive the flurries early and by the end Shane wont be throwing any.

cotto is not a one handed collazo[fought most of the fight with his left broken]or an anemic weight drained fernando vargas.all of you who pick against cotto have been picking against cotto and will continue to pick cotto to lose so if he loses all you can say see i told you.if he wins all you picking against him should get ****ing banned. your nothing but haters without an objective point of view ,ever. november the 10th you will all be believers.cotto in a brutal fight that shane will be winning till the twelfth round , when cotto turns it up, knocks a 36 year old mosley out for the first time in his career.

Cotto's only chance in this fight is pressure. He must make the older Mosley fight every minute of every round. Similar to what Hatton must do with Mayweather. Mosley, like Mayweather likes to set his opposition up-in order to do that he has to control the pace. Forrest has a great jab that kept Mosley from really dictating the pace.

If Cotto can stay close and work the body consistently i look for SSM to begin to slow mid fight. Just like the Judah fight, Cotto will be vulnerable early, he must work behind the jab and not let Mosley tie him up.

Hard one to call here, but I'm going with Mosley as he has a very proven chin. the speed advantage and the experience in big fights to know how to handle it. I wouldn't bet on this fight though!

Now you are going a little too far. You have to admit that. Zab has never even really won a big fight except for Spinks, had already proved to be mentally broken & ****** in the ring, was a smaller man, and hadnt won in 2 years
