How will Hatton do it?

It was lucky, Zab usually can duck out the way of those punches...he was just a little slow that night i guess..Comment

i understand mayweather's talent and that it could end up like gatti vs mayweather....but i give hatton a 50/50 chance it all depends how floyd will handle hatton, how floyd would react with constant pressure and getting tied-up, we all know he is gonna run and i do believe hatton has a chanceComment

I dont think Hatton has a chance to win in this fight, but if I were training Hatton i would do as follows:
- come into the fight at the best condition youve ever been
- take control of the center and dictate pace...impose your will on Floyd from the start and try to take away his confidence while increasing your own
- go to the body early and often - put the "money in the bank" and force this fight to turn into a brawl inside a phonebooth so that you negate a lot of Floyd's natural speed and boxing ability
- i would say that i would avoid going to Floyd's head as much as possible...his ability to slip punches is impeccable and its much easier to hit that body than the head....plus i worry if Hatton tries to headhunt, he'll get countered to hell and his morale will slowly fade as Floyd weaves and counters Hatton's shots....score to the body and hope to grind out a victory...Comment

i have noticed hatton has a knack for tagging fighters on the way out. IF he has a chance it might be there, but other than that (as much as i would LIKE to see Hatton win) i think floyds speed and running skills will see him pot shot another boring win.Comment

floyd can KO ricky in the late rounds if he wants to by outrunning Hatton till Hatton tires like he did vs De La Hoya. And because of how small Hatton is, Floyd might get some balls to do it, unlike what he did vs de la hoya.
ONLY WAY Hatton wins is if his legspeed takes no hit in the jump to 147 and he can kill mayweather to the body. The Philly shell does not protect well against kidney shots
Mayweather has long arms with very little power and the one thing hatton can beat mayweather at is in-fighting as long as he is going to the body for the most part.
You can win a fight on points by going to the body.
I believe that Mayweather will pot-shot his way to victory however, because of his obvious speed and skills, as well as the fact that Hatton will probably lose a lot of speed moving up in weight. Mayweather is just to long, and the speed differential at 147 is just too muchLast edited by BmoreBrawler; 10-01-2007, 07:29 PM.Comment

Well I am honestly think hatton can pull this off. I give all the credit in the world to pbf cause he is one of the best. I think alot of different things play a factor in this match. If Hatton can manage to cut the ring off I think he will suffocate pbf with body shots and get a ko around the 6th or 7th round. But if pbf fights like he normally does I think he will win about 7-8 rounds especially the later rounds and get a ud. I think the longer the fight goes the better for pbf. I think pbf is crazy if he really thinks he is gonna go toeto toe with hatton. I really wanna see hatton win this thing. I've been wanting to see this fight for well over a year now. So I guess will will just have to wait and see.Should be a good fight either way. I say this will be both fighters toughest fight. I will go as far as to say i give hatton a 50% chance.(Same for pbf)Comment

With all due respect, Judah and Floyd are worlds apart.A heavy underdog made what was supposed to be a easy night a long one when he mad Judah do the chicken dance for the second time. This is boxing, anything can happen.. You as a Judah fan should know that.
Not that I think Hatton is gonna win, I see another UD for Floyd, but don't count the man out.
When they put garbage in front of Judah, he FIGHTS like garbage.
When they put garbage in front of Floyd, he TREATS them like garbage.
I'm sure that you have to objectively agree.Comment

For a sport where "anything can happen," "anything" rarely does. Most fights proceed as predicted.
Of course, the mechanics of boxing itself promote upsets, they just dont happen often enough for my tastes.Comment
