I'm trying to figure this out. Becuase he was very game in the 7th up intil the point of the knockdown. He was taking some tough shots throughout. Now I know Pavlik can wear you donw. But it seemed Jermaine could take it. But then that one shot landed perfectly and Taylor went into the corner.

Do you think it was from a long fight of taking shots. Or was it that one shot that put Jermaine away?

Pavlik said he hit him clean many times so it was accumulation i would say. JT aint that good for taking that many. But i noticed when Pavlik detonated that punch on JT, JT still managed to throw a jab in response.

Accumilation, I think Jermain was slowly being worn down, plus wasting most of his energy in the second didn't help him out. He was tired and got caught with a mean right hand and one or two VICIOUTS uppercuts.

he was being out-jabbed in the 7th, then Pavlik landed a one-two, with a flush right that staggered Taylor. After that Pavlik landed two hard uppercuts which ended it.

Taylor probably should have taken a knee. The ropes were holding him up, maybe Smoger should have jumped in and given him a count.... before the uppercuts.

That last right hand that sent Tayor to the ropes was probably the hardest punch he landed all night... so who knows.

          Probably an accumulation though

...A little of both I suspect. Pavlik gives new meaning to the term heavy handed. The only way he's gonna get beat is by getting knocked out. He punches to hard for anyone to go the distance with him and take those shots now. Maybe Hopkins could hug him to death and keep from getting KO'd but who knows? Hopkins can run and hold but can he run and hold for that long with Kelly applying constant pressure?

I agree with you. His stamina seemed a little suspect which didn't help in taking those punches either.

I say accumalation. jermain was doing good early against the right hand but he took too many of them. i wish he would have guarded better against that. i hope he does a better job guarding against that right hand in the rematch. if not its just gonna be the same outcome.

If it was an accumulation, Taylor did a very good job hiding the fact he was hurt up until that right hand in my signature.

That right hand that sent Taylor realing back to the ropes put Taylor out on his feet, being the BEST FINISHER in the game Pavlik put him away
