  • AM i ALONE in thinking PAVLIK-ABRAHAM is a onesided fight?!?!?!

Abraham gets so much credit that i will never understand. In his last fight it took him 11 rounds to stop a guy i had never heard of.

And it wasnt like he beat the guy up for 11 rounds and then pounded him like Andre Berto did last night, it was a one-punch KO where Abraham seemed to be in a little trouble himself.

Ive never been impressed with him and does EVEYRTHING that favors Pavlik.\

He is ALWAYS covering up completely and laying against the ropes WILLINGLY. Pavlik eats that **** up, it would be an easy night for him.

And im not saying Pavlik is the second coming of Hagler either, i just think Pavlik is a much more technically sound fighter, does virtually everything better, and would get Abraham outta there in maybe 6 or 7 rounds, depending on how tough ABRAHAM is

KBall: Just because you had never heard of him doesn't mean much; lots of good fighters overseas aren't heard of and Gevor wasn't bad. Abraham is a very good fighter who has a better jab and better technique than Taylor. It's an excellent, excellent fight and one we may see 7-9 months from now.

I expect Pavlik to stop him brutally.

These Abraham agents are trying to incite reason for this fight to happen and logically speaking, it should happen. Being that Abraham fights out of Germany and is not known here in the States, I haven't seen enough of him to pass judgement on how he would fair against Pavlik. Let's be real now, Pavlik can be out-boxed, but of what limited footage of seen of Abraham, he doesn't seem like the guy who would be able to do it. He doesn't have that pure boxing style and if Miranda was able to catch him with jaw-shattering punches, I just think Pavlik would as well.

Well, it's funny people are already making suggestions about this fight. Pavlik hasn't even had the rematch with Taylor yet. So does that mean you all believe Pavlik has the rematch in the bag? Because I personally don't.

wow, couldn't have said it better.

Gevor was as solid as a middleweight could come coming in at (27-2)... and this is what happened to him...

If you think Abraham has no chance against Pavlik, you are a complete fool.

I havent seen much of Abraham. Only fight I saw was his bout with Miranda. He's a good fighter and better technically then Taylor. Taylor fights in spurts because of his stamina issues - Abraham doesn't. He would make Pavlik work harder but I dont think he has the overall strength and athleticism of Taylor which is what made the fight even going into the 7th in my opinion. JT's athleticism was the equalizer.

I think it would be a good fight. Cant decide yet really.

most people who actually pay attention to anything other than espn will be picking Abraham.

Abraham is faster and a more polished boxer, he'll cover and throw quick hooks after Pavlik has thrown about three punches.

Abraham is much more powerful than Taylor, and also the more accurate puncher and calmer fighter.

And his chin is better than Pavlik's, if he needs it.

No agents Mike; Cam Dunkin, Pavlik's manager, was talking Abraham to me before the Taylor fight.

I think Pavlik has a good shot at beating him but not easily or quickly. Abraham is a very good polished fighter and could give Pavlik some trouble and Pavlik will not be able to walk right over him, the man fought with a badly broken jaw for sciences sake. I could see it going either way.
