Here's my take on the fight :

    http://myadd.wordpress.com/2007/09/3...-for-the-ages/

Feel free to check my posts on my blog before the fight. I called Pavlik long ago. Right after the Miranda fight that Manny and JT seemed to think meant nothing.

Kind of obvious you bet on JT. These are sour g****s. I've seen them many times, and you want to feel like you were somewhat right.

Pavlik was "lucky" right ? that's your take. Just be honest.

The people that post before the fight don't have to make things up to make a point about their pick and try to bully others by calling them noobs.

That's true, Steward said that in the corner. Pavlik and JT said it after the fight.

But somehow FightNight was watching the fight with his JT cap on and didn't see the same fight. And everyone else is a noob.

                  So lets break this down.

                  Pavlik:
                  -Controlled the pace
                  -Took away Taylors jab
                  -Asserted his own jab
                  -Was effectively aggressive
                  -Controlled the ring

                  Taylor:
                  -Couldn't utilize his jab
                  -Couldn't control the pace
                  -Couldn't control the ring

It doesn't matter how many punches Taylor landed, because they were NOT EFFECTIVE.
-His punches didn't stop Pavlik from controlling the pace
-His punches didn't stop Pavlik from returning fire
-His punches didn't stop Pavlik from applying effective aggression

Pavlik's punches, on the other hand, WERE EFFECTIVE.
-His punches stopped Taylor from controlling the pace
-His punches stopped Taylor from returning fire
-His punches stopped Taylor from controlling the ring
-His punches stopped Taylor from utilizing the jab

                  Now how did Taylor win?

In round 5, and to a lesser extent, round 4, he effectively stifled Pavlik's aggression by utilizing head movement and foot work.

                  Thats it.
How in the world did Taylor not utilize the jab? He landed 77 to Pavlik's 80.

I can't find the fight and when I do, I will give what I call the "10 second analyzation"

which means I will watch each round 10 seconds at a time and give my full analysis for each 10 seconds from who landed more to movements, effectiveness, etc.

When you watch the fight over, you'll see a distinct difference between taylor's jab and Pavlik's. Pavliks stiff left jab was what caused JT's right side of his face to swell up like a marshmallow.

In watching the fight over on the DVR, it's not hard to tell who's jabs were controlling the fight in rounds 3-6 . Although I gave Taylor the 5th round by a narrow margin.

You lost a bet, just deal with it man. You can compubox all you want, JT was out cold in a heap. Pavlik popped his cherry and the zero is gone.
