Hopkins has right hand counter over the top that's about it, Jermain combos your head off. And Hopkin's power is starting to fade.. Pavlik makes you work, at this point I don't see Hopkins making it to round 12.
    Jermain combos your gloves off.

A puncher with a chin, and heart, that works behind a jab, and has a very high output is a very dangerous man.

Hopkins is effective because he gets people to stop punching by selling them feints.

You are not going to feint Pavlik into not punching, because his reaction is to punch more.

A younger Hopkins with a higher output probably could have decisioned Pavlik pretty easily, but the Hopkins of today is just too inactive to do anything other than survive the fight.
Ditto... IN theory, Hopkins could give Pavlik trouble, but one cannot subscribe to theory regarding a 43 year old boxer. In all likelihood, Hopkins would end up just hanging on for the final bell. The worst outcome is that Hopkins gets seriously injured.

He's also much better at avoiding straight right hands and avoiding pressure. Pavlik is very easy to hit and Hopkins' little lead right should hit its mark every time, right before he dips out to mix it up. But I still wonder how Hopkins would be able to take a clean shot from someone like Pavlik, even though he's been in there with a true light heavyweight in Tarver, he didn't get hit too much..
Hopkins would win by KO in the early to mid rounds.

          EASY fight for Bernard Hopkins.

BTW, Hopkins will want this fight IMO.

I see.. People think Hopkins doesn't have the power..

On a predictable stationary target Hopkins could wear down Pavlik quickly and effectively. I predict a Hopkins KO through attrition early to mid.

Hopkins is economic. Don't be fooled. The guy can PUNCH.

He rarely loads up - but when he does he can take guys out with a few heavy shots. Hopkins is not a one punch KO artist.

              There is no doubt.

But he is fully capable of taking out the right opponent.

It obvious he does just as obvious as that Black Africans sailed to America before anybody else. And that that ancient Egyptians were Black.

Jeebus Pavlik hurt Jermaine in the first 30 seconds of the fight while Bernard never hurt Taylor in a whole 24 rounds.

                  MISMATCH.

I love taylor but I picked Pavlik to knock him out........

And honestly I'd have to say that HOPKINS would beat PAVLIK... Thats if they fight soon enough... because the older he gets the harder it would be to pull off.

HOPKINS MIGHT ACTUALLY CAMPAIGN FOR THIS FIGHT.

I'd say Hopkins is too slick, once Pavlik gets him in the corner,Hopkins would circle out. Hopkins is a boxing genius.
