Pavlik knocks out Taylor

Just as I predicted, Kelly Pavlik just knocked out Jermain Taylor in a middleweight classic. Taylor did indeed decide to go toe to toe with the iron fisted Pavlik. Pavlik went down in the 2nd round and barely made it out of the round. Pavlik fought himself back into contention with jabs and viscious right hands. In round 6, Pavlik stunned Taylor with a beautiful right hand shot to the jaw. Taylor stumbled back into the corner and Pavlik weighed in and brutally knocked Taylor out with a combination of punches including an incredible uppercut to finish it.

Kudos to Taylor. This was one of the great matches in recent history. A rematch must be seen.

jermain taylor has been dethroned. i honestly think this was a good fight. both fighters were in good shape and listened to their corners. taylor just got caught with that right. i take nothing from pavlik it was a good win. i honestly thought taylor would pull out the win but i was wrong. thats the unpredictable thing about boxing. one punch can change everything which what happened. we'll see what happens in the rematch. contratulations pavlik and enjoy your new belts. jermain hope you can bounce back.
