Anyways, Easton, it's not like I'm shooting myself in the foot... anyone who claims that Floyd's best opposition was at 140 pounds is a ****ing idiot, period.
Understood. But, if you're going to talk about 140, there's only one...Tszyu. And, IMO he was the best competition Floyd would have ever had.

      Well obviously... I mean Christ...

Which one of these is different from the others?
      DeMarcus Corley
      Henry Bruseles
      Arturo Gatti
      Kostya Tszyu

It really doesn't take a genius.

Floyd was a paper champ at 140. The lineal paper champ which he got from Gatti. His best win was Corley. At his stage in his career, compared to Gatti, he was a better fighter.

I agree with everything posted here.

He was a paper champ, because he fought Gatti, who was not The Ring champ, and who won a vacant belt from Jesse James Leija, who was not a world beater himself. Neither had beat the man at 140, Tszyu.

I agree that Corley is a better win... I think Corley is a damn good fighter who pushed himself too hard to take the big boys on too early, or something like that. I think he has the skills to be elite, but for some reason, everything just didn't come together for him.

And it's not like I have sour g****s about the situation. Floyd called Gatti a 'paper' champ. Doesn't that make him a paper champ if he wins against the paper champ? I remember Larry Merchant called him out on that.

Anyway I think Corley has good skills but no pop and he is weak as hell. The punches he hit Floyd with after he stunned him were like little girl slaps. He should of really considered going south 5 lbs. He had great talent (I believe he was an olympic alternate) but that does not always mean a great professional fighter.

This question is wanky...based on the results, Corley was the best quality win, Gatti the biggest but his tenure at 140 was forgettable as hell. And he fought Bruseles there so uugh.

And of course he was a paper champ at 40...duh. He was a paper champ at 54 too. That said, he has won THREE legit world titles and only seven other guys in history have done that putting him in rare, rare company.

So you are torn between Corley and Gatti... why is the question Wanky? It seems to be a point of discussion, since even you can't decide between the two clearly... I don't get why you don't like the question.
