Taylor has never in his career fought a real middlweight, in his prime, that can punch and has the tenacity of Kelly Pavlik.

He's scarcely ever faced a real middleweight in his prime period. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Hopkins was past his prime at 40. I know that's a bit of a stretch but if you could just humor me that would be nice. Thank you.

yeah taylor is just gonna up and fight southpaw and win cause of it..lol.. thats the dumbest **** ive heard it awhile. first off taylor wouldnt know what the hell he was doing and he get cold****ed with a straight right hand 2 minutes into the fight.

also, pavlik is way more ambidextrous than taylor will ever be. pavlik throws a left handed lead uppercut... taylor has nothing like it in his repetoire. if either guy was gonna fight lefty it would be pavlik not taylor. pavlik fights like a converted southpaw, taylor fights like a guy whos left hand gets tired and goes to sleep.

anymore absolutely dumbass ideas? maybe we can forward them..

      lol

"hey manny, i think if you just turn jermain around and make him fight lefthanded that he will win easy cause this one guy told me that orthadox fighters cant handle it, it doesent matter that he wont know what hes doing cause it will be such an earth shattering strategy"

all this coming from the guy who predicted miranda to eat pavlik alive and called me a racist for predicting the fight 100 percent right
You're a crackhead, you suck pavliks **** for for crack *****-boy.

What's Taylor gonna do when he hits Pavlik with this best shot and Kelly isn't even phased by it?? Taylor is going to have to dance and move and use his pretty good jab because if he just tries to slug it out with Pavlik he's in for a rude awakening. Kelly took some big shots from Miranda, so you know he's a durable guy. We don't know if Taylor is a durable guy though....

I think we'll see something good Saturday night either way, either JT fights down to his competition, AND UP, or Pavlik exposes him as a fighter whose gotten some gift decisions and has never faced a puncher like him. (Not counting non pro fights)

I'm torn. Ever since I saw Pavlik fight Zertuche, I became a fan instantly. He's got star qualities.

However, the only thing that worries me about Kelly is his defense. Zertuche and Miranda both landed flush, clean shots on him and while Taylor doesn't have Miranda's power, he is much more skilled and can land punches in bunches.

Taylor's a complete mystery to me. I never thought he should have won that fight against Bernard the first time around and didn't think he beat Winky Wright. And of course, the last two lousy performances.

Anyways, my heart says Pavlik TKO 11, but there's something telling me this goes the distance with Taylor winning with a UD.

Taylor hadnt fought anything near the competition Pavlik has fought when he was challenging for the title.

This could either be a war with either guy on top, or an easy victory for Pavlik. No other solution
                  Pavlik's last 5 Opponents
Miranda - overrated power puncher with no technical skills
                  Zertuche - bum
                  Lenord Pierre - who??
Bronco Mckart- great fighter in his hay day, obviously old fighter
                  Zuniga - bum

                  Taylor's last 5 Opponents
Spinks - former undisputed welterweight champ, jun mid champ and a slick south paw
Ouma - tough as nails former soldier and champion
winky - defensive masterminded southpaw, champion, hof
hopkins - past his prime but still game undispusted middleweight champ, hof, boxing genius

                  i rest my case

                  for those questioning taylor's stamina
pavlik hasn't even gone past 9 rounds
shouldn't there be questions for his stamina in the late rounds??

                    Look...

                    I like both Guys.

                    But seriously.......Whats Pavliks "Plan B"

Lets just say, Pavs rolls in there and starts bombing away at Taylor, but Taylor gets away and seems to not fold up like the accordian everyone is saying he is...and pavlik starts getting timed and countered?

                    Hmmmm? Anyone?

                    I'll tell you.....he gets KTFO

Cause hes a hard hitting club fighter. He brings nothing else to the table but the slugger mentality and skill set.

While I love that...Taylor can slug if he has too, AND Taylor can box if he has to.

Go back and watch some fights where the huge punching but lesser skilled guy cant put away the boxer.
