      Well said, Hyper.
He even turned down a fight with Gatti in 2003 several times.

That's why Hatton took that fight. But, that's not the way the media darlings did it.

Ridiculous argument. Tszyu wouldn't turn anybody down at LWW. They ran like hell and made excuses.

Only loss during reign: Vince Phillips 1997 in Ring Mag's "Upset of the Year."
Loss to end reign: Ricky Hatton 2005.

During his career, Tszyu defeated the following, among others:

            1. Vernon Forrest - 91 World Amatuer Championships, UD.
            2. Hugo Pineda - 27-0, TKO 11th r.
            3. Jan Bergman - 32-0, KO 6th r.
            4. Rafael Ruelas - 52-3, TKO 9th r.
            5. Corey Johnson - KO 4th r.
            6. Roger Mayweather - UD.
            7. Angel Hernandez - TKO 7th r.
            8. Livingstone Bramble - UD.
            9. Hector Lopez UD.
            10. Oktay Urkel - 28-0, UD.
            11. Julio Ceasar Chavez - 103-4-2, TKO 6th r.
            12. Zab Judah - 27-0, KO 12th r.
            13. Jesse J. Leija - TKO 6th r.
            14. Sharmba Mitchell - TKO twice, 3rd and 7th rds.

Why didn't Tszyu ever fight Floyd, Oscar, or Mosely? They didn't want anything to do with Tszyu. Way too dangerous to mess with.

There are TWO prime fighters on that list.

Kostya Tszyu's entire legacy is two fighters: Zab Judah and Sharmba Mitchell. Period.

Carlos Baldomir and Cory Spinks beat Zab Judah.

Nah, that's pretty true... do you honestly think Hopkins is going to move down to fight Joe Calzaghe? I doubt it.

Tszyu made a big name for himself by KO'ing a then highly touted Zab. We have since seen what Zab is.

Kostya Tszyu is nothing special. He got a top 5 p4p slot based on beating Zab... and a KO over a faded Sharmba.

It will all be put into perspective on Dec 8th.

Wrong again, Dios. He destroyed Sharmba Mitchell twice. Rafeal Ruelas was a huge fight. Oktay Urkel was very highly regarded then (28-0). Pineda, Johnson. Hector Lopez was no slouch. Sheeeit. Give me a break.

                    edit: and Judah was undefeated.
