Actually let me hate on Floyd a little bit. He faced a prime and elite fighter in Castillo and he lost the first encounter. People are ****ting on Mosley's and DLH's records cause of losses, but maybe they should be asking themselves how many elite, prime fighters they have faced. This is for Floyd's nuthuggers.

Dios Dominicano especially as he's bringing DLH's close fights (losses) as slight on OScar's career. DLH has faced the most PRIME and ELITE fighters in boxing today period.

CORRALES WAS THE NUMBER 5. everyone already said him. when are yall gonna read?

and if you want to pick apart peoples' careers that badly, almost no one in historylooks all that great. Its very rare that top 10 p4p guys ever face each other, because to be a top p4p guy, you have to dominate your weight class. theres usually not enough room to share.

the best Ive ever heard was Whitaker beating Chavez. JCC was ranked #1 p4p and Whitaker was ranked #2 when they fought.

also, the p4p fighter fighting another p4p fighter isnt as impressive as it sounds. Use this as an example. Pacquiao is widely considered #2 or 3 p4p. pretend Mayweather and Pacquiao faced off at 135, Pac going up, Mayweather going down. then pretend Mayweather and Paul Williams fought(William isnt ranked on the p4p lists). which fight would you give more credit to Mayweather for if he won?

Corrales hadn't done anything to deserve a top 5 position, people who are today in the position he was back then aren't even in the top 15, just look at Mikkel Kessler, accomplished ALOT more than Corrales had, yet he's only known for being a Calzaghe opponent.

Maybe a national bias, or maybe boxing has alot more giants today than it did back then.

just goes to show you what passes for p4p. Any lower weight with a decent record is p4p these days and in the past decade.

diego was 33-0 with 27ko's had defended his IBF title 5 times with 5 ko's yes ring had him #5 at the time and floyd #7. before their clash both had been considered p4p champs by ring for three years.

hatton is nothing compared to what corrales was at 130. ask yourself how many times has hatton defended any title at 140 since winning against zoo.

sorry maussa and urango don't cut it, especially compared to what corrales did during his prime at 130.

He was a force, no doubt.

But a top 5 pound for pounder?

                      Premature hype.

Thanks for the newb comment though, that won the entire debate.
