Depends, you can do it the Calderon way or the Dirrel way, I respect the Calderon way a hell of alot better.

It doesn't bother me when fighters win decisions, it just bothers me when fighters can't even really hurt (any of) their opponents and get decision wins. Certainly it is okay if you are fighting Micky Ward and you can't hurt him, but when a fighter doesn't really even have the strength to hurt their opponent, alarm bells kind of go off in my head.

Especially considering that many fighters who prospects face in their first few fights are awful.
Me too. That's what bothers me about Floyd.

I just find their fights a little boring because you know they can't end the fight at any moment like someone with decent power can. It does take the excitement out of a fight for me. Nothing like watching to fighters with hellish power.

            Uh... No

The goal in boxing (or any competitive sport) is winning. A KO is just a cherry.

This isn't true. Boxing has traditionally had the goal of knocking out your opponent and throughout much of its history a knockout was the only way you could win. The goal is still to knock out your opponent, and fighters who do not intend to do so are really circumventing the sport.

If the goal was not to knock out your opponent you could change the rules to be like amateur boxing.

                  Leon Bobo 16-0 2 KOs
                  Wes Ferguson 16-1 4 KOs
(They both lost which made me happy)

It just kind of makes me angry when someone really can tap their way to victory.

Someone else that comes to mind is Paulie Malignaggi... that really makes me think that someone is running and tapping when no one even stops the fight, because no damage is being done.

Just an angry rant, and I wanted to see if I was alone.
When you're watching a fighter who has a low KO percentage it elimates one of the most exctiting and suspenseful aspects of the fight game..

                  Instant endings.

                    calderon and malanagi(sp)
are two different kinda fighters to me
they both got low KO ratios
but ivan atleast goes for it
                    he just cant
                    while paulie to me
just runs and flurries without intent of serious damage
just scoring clean and gettin away
so long as theyre goin for the KO in a realist manner
                    i can support a fighter

When you're in the ring with some crazy-ass who's sole purpose is to hurt you, you should want to and be willing to hurt him right back. Otherwise, what the **** are you?
