The problem with attributing Hatton's win to being shot Castillo is the fact that being shot generally does not manifest itself in a lack of ability to take body shots.

Castillo has been shot for a looong time.

Castillo wasn't "shot" and neither was Tszyu. Castillo did not lay down and neither did Tzsyu. Castillo was/is one of the toughest and gamest fighters I ever saw. Hatton's victory over Castillo was impressive to say the least. All you Mayweatherites can run it down if it will make you feel better, but I can assure you Castillo does not lay down to anybody. He was cut down by viscious body blows. That's the fact and the video speaks for itself.
