What's so different???

As I've said all along, Floyd is favourite in this fight, but he's not the huge favourite that many people are picking. It'll be a massive upset if Hatton wins, and my pick is that he will, but it won't be the biggest in history.
The sad part is that if Hatton beats Mayweather on December 8th the legions of chumps with the word "floyd" in their usernames will completely abandon him and jump on the next big thing's nuts. A loss to Hatton will strengthen Floyd's case to be recognised as an all time great, not weaken it. Especially if he avenges the loss as I predict he will.Comment

i must debate you in this part of ur post. mayweather kept gatti VERY honest, and he will be able to keep ricky honest as well. u say this wont be the ricky that fought collazo, fine, but the fact is collazo still almost knocked him out and i think floyd punches a tad bit better and more accurately than collazo. yea ricky will be a better 147 than the collazo fight no doubt, but hes not fighting collazo this time, hes fightin mayweather. he has a good arsenal of punches yea thats true and he has a big heart and an adrenalined pump style. so what? mayweather has never fought a pressure fighter before? he can throw combos at mayweather all he wants to and try and trap him, thats wut 38 other fighters claimed to do, and didnt. yea oscar was ove the hill, but he is more skilled and powerful and a better overall fighter than ricky is today. does ricky have the style to beat mayweather? sure... but so did everyone else who fought him, they jus couldnt use it cuz mayweather took it away from them. hattons heart and determination will not get him thru mayweathers pin point accuracy. u say floyd cant keep ricky honest. BULL****. mayweather can keep the smaller man off of him with precise shots to the head and body when ricky does his bullrush in.What is Mayweather outside of his envelope?
Helpless.
It will take a non conventional fighter to beat the master classmen.
Someone who has the type of mixed bag arsenal, broken rythm, relentlessness, natural ability, and determination to pull Mayweather out of a 3/4 stance and STAY IN HIS FACE.
Hatton is unique. He does have the special tools for this one.
Hatton isn't going to go in there and mindlessly pound on Mayweather's gloves. He's going to trap him and throw very determined, very deliberate combinations that strafe all areas of Mayweather's torso and head accruing damage - but primarily confusing and disarming Mayweather in the process.
De La Hoya demonstrated effectively how to put Mayweather there. Oscar just didn't have the tuck-and-turn kind of assault to open the shell.
Hatton does.
If Mayweather can surprise and come forward punching with an aggressive tact; he has the firepower and precision targeting to damage Hatton..
But when you factor in Hatton's blind fury I think it will take a sledgehammer to keep Ricky down.. Hatton gets on that PCP Angel Dust adrenaline.
And Floyd doesn't own a sledgehammer.
People forget; Mayweather really ISN'T going to be able to keep Ricky honest.
Floyd doesn't have the power, Captain!
People can talk about Collazo all they want.
This is NOT going to be THAT Ricky Hatton.
The majority of observers on either side can agree on and expect that .
this ongoing argument between hatton and mayweather is gonna go on nonstop unfortunately, but at least this thread has some maturity in it.... but IMO, this is gonna be an extremely one-sided fight for floyd. i kinda agree with beauty, and i cant see how so many people came to the fact ricky is gonna "own" mayweather. even if he does win, it aint like hes jus gonna embarass him or anything, so where the hell do people get off sayin hes gonna destroy mayweather. thats jus silly...Comment

Indeed. I think a loss with a return victory will make Mayweather more deserving of many of the credits he has received. (NOT to say I think Floyd is going to lose or that he is undeserving of credit. Just more deserving.)
