    What's so different???

This is an absolutely honest question for those who may have confidence in Hatton's victory over Mayweather.

I want to know what you feel is so different? Mayweather having had all of his opponents declaring they will be victorious etc., with victory obviously not being the outcome. Why do you think Hatton is capable of this? AND, honestly. (No Mayweather's a prick, Hatton's white, etc. Something concrete and valid.)

I have seen Hatton fight a few times and I have my sentiments regarding his style and ability with Mayweather based on said style.

What do you all (Those that favor Hatton.) think. Please try to be detailed and specific.

(No arguing or insulting if possible.)

What is so different?? Why Hatton??

    Do tell.

There are three types of Hatton advocates.

    1) British Nationals

    2) Non-British Nationals who saw the Tszyu fight.

    3) White guys who blindly pick Ricky because it's the best shot they've had in a while..

Gotcha. I am surprised no one has anyhthing concrete to say, though. So many seem so confident in Hatton's victor, I genuinely want to know why.

Maybe I could see things differently. I love Mayweather, but I know that he will not win forever. However, based on what I have seen I am not persuaded that Hatton could hold a torch to him.

I want to know more from those who see it the other way around. I'd like to know what I missed because those who have arrived at "Hatton's going to own Mayweather" must have come by it more honestly than the three reasons you provided, which seem to make all of the sense in the world.

Guess I was hoping someone who was genuine had some light to shed, ya' know?

        It could potentialy happen.. Because..

Floyd needs his Distance.. to operate at full potential..
Hatton will be the best distance closer Mayweather has ever fought..
Hatton does indeed have the "Style" to beat Mayweather
THIS is where the confidence is coming from...

That being said .. Hatton's Style would be far better employed by someone with the PHYSICAL gifts to back it up...
A longer height and reach, A little more Power.. Tougher Skin...

Hatton Has the style.. But not the body to get the job done..

It should be a good fight.. And Floyd will be uncomfortable at times.. But I can see only one outcome.. and THAT aint Hatton winning..

I have been known to be wrong from time to time

msagrain, what do you think? You have seemed confident in Hatton being victorious. Why?

            Great post Welter.

I'm picking Hatton but it could go either way. I'm picking Hatton because he has the style that has troubled Floyd in the past but he is bigger and stronger than the people who have emplyed it. Furthermore I feel that Floyd has started to believe his own hype, and this is backed up by his ludicrous decision to go on dancing with the stars.

If Ricky beats Floyd will he become number one pound for pound fighter in the world? No, Floyd will still be number one pound for pound fighter in the world in my opinion, because there will be a rematch and Floyd will win it.

Do you feel that Floyd's decision to dance is proof he does not take Hatton seriously?

He says he is training 3 plus times a day, as he always has. He says he is not underestimating Hatton. However, actions do speak louder than words.

the last fight that floyd had a problem...

maybe the first and the last as well, was when he faced a pressure fighter in castillo, although he made it a clear victory int he second...

now hatton is the epitome of a pressure fighter...

so lets keep our fingers cross and hope for the best ... lol
