The Reason why I started this post, Is that Im sitting here watching the Castillo Vs Mayweather for the third time tonight and he can actually go toe to toe..He did well in the 11th round.. If he does this in the Hatton fight you cant take nothing away from him...But if its a bent decision like Mayweather Vs Castillo..I will hate the ***er to the day I die...

If Mayweather stands toe to toe with Hatton he will gain my respect

Question: Why is that a fighter has to give up most of his advantages in a fight for him to earn your respect?

Floyd's defense is his greatest strength, why should he do away with it?

Even so, I think we will see him go toe-to-toe, but definately not from the opening bell.

That is a fair point...You made, But this guy wins fights by going backwards..You have seen Mayweather time and time again say hes going toe to toe and he does not do it..But he is able to do it! and he tok some real heavy shots..Why dont he just come out and have a real fight, A tearup. Be a real champ. He can hold the fight in the middle and he can take a shot aswell..

He usually goes side-to-side not backward.

Anyways, he usually does go toe-to-toe, he has just happened to be up against a guy who outweighs him by 20, and the unbreakable chin in his past 2 bouts. Standing toe-to-toe with them is all risk, no reward (literally no reward with Baldomir).

I think he will be going toe-to-toe by the 6th round against Hatton though.

despite what you may think, he went toe to toe with de la hoya several times, in the middle rounds and late, de la hoya just watched him, mayweather despite what you all may think, doesnt do a corey spinks out there, he moves laterally and he stands toe to toe, he VARIES his assault, thats why hes hard to figure out.
