My prediction on the fight would be
floyd stopping Hatton around the 10 11th round
the ref stopping a very brave but bloody Hatton
with floyd just pot shotting him all night
I hear what ur saying about the body shots though
i just dont think the man is gonna get close enough..
I think he will be suprised to how strong floyd is in the clinch

Haha, its great how you just told me no one cares about my opinion in another thread, while you are agreeing with me in this one. Made me laugh.
Anyways, I think you are right. The y factor (we already established the x factor will be Hatton's speed, and whether Floyd deems it slow enough to go toe-to-toe or whether he is fast enough that Floyd will box and move) is Mayweather's power. I think it is going to surprise a fighter coming up from 140.
This is a superfight so i hope the referee dont interfere too much. We have waited a long time for this match and the ref has the ability to make or break this match. I wont be happy if he ruins it by overprotecting either of the boxers and stopping and starting it. As long as Hatton dont hit behind the head and below the belt and after the break, or hits the referee- it should be allowed.
Noone has been able to handle Hatton when Hatton has been allowed to do his thing and we want to see if PBF can. And if PBF beats Hatton because he gets special treatment and help from the referee that takes a lot away from PBF achievent imo.
But it will often be Mayweather who initiates the hold. Mayweather holds a lot.
That is an accurate statement. Mayweather holds just as much as Hatton on the inside, but for different reasons. Mayweather holds for defense. Hatton holds for offense.
For this reason, I think this fight will be an appallingly boring clinch fest. Every time Hatton gets inside, He will grab one of Mayweathers arms, then Mayweather will grab his free arm.

It's possible. Another boring Mayweather fight is always possible. But, if it gets exciting, make no mistake about it, Hatton will be responsible for that. Furthermore, I don't think it's Hatton who will be "surprised" at Mayweather's strength. It's going to be Mayweather who is surprised at Hatton's strength. And, when that happens, Floyd will get on his bike and go for the usual decision on points. Then, of course, the issue will be whether Hatton can catch that chicken. Rocky Balboa couldn't do it, he got all wore out, and Mickey was pissed. But, that little bar fighter Hatton is real good at getting to people. The whole fight will be determined on this. Personally, I give him an even money chance.

no floyd will not run, hatton is taking shots at floyd.. sumthing oscar didnt do and floyd is getting mad.. and floyd can fight anyway he wants backing up going forward... and he will go toe to toe
Whether you like or dislike Hatton, you have to admit that he holds and hits (which is illegal in boxing) nonstop and is rarely warned for it. Against the #1 rated boxer in the world, will the referee(whoever they may be) allow Hatton to cheat like he has in his last handful of fights?
FFS, Ricky Martin, I thought you were better than this.
I mean, how can we answer the question if we don't even know who the **** the referee IS? I thought you were gonna tell us.
If it's Jay Nady - NO.
If they fly Dave "WWF, LMAO, Pwn!" Parris over - yes.
If they have someone else... let's see.
But no, I ain't ****in' psychic, so I don't know. So STFU.
