It's possible. Another boring Mayweather fight is always possible. But, if it gets exciting, make no mistake about it, Hatton will be responsible for that. Furthermore, I don't think it's Hatton who will be "surprised" at Mayweather's strength. It's going to be Mayweather who is surprised at Hatton's strength. And, when that happens, Floyd will get on his bike and go for the usual decision on points. Then, of course, the issue will be whether Hatton can catch that chicken. Rocky Balboa couldn't do it, he got all wore out, and Mickey was pissed. But, that little bar fighter Hatton is real good at getting to people. The whole fight will be determined on this. Personally, I give him an even money chance.

It's a common pro trick to hold your opponent's glove under your arm(usually the one facing away from the referee) which leaves one arm free. Hatton is usually being held like this when he is hitting and holding. Hatton is guilty of throwing a few shots then clinching briefly. He will use the clinch to move his opponent then throw as he breaks away. This is not illegal if the referee has not shouted "BREAK".

Hatton's worst fight for clinching was the Urango fight and it seems something was amiss for that one with Ricky's stamina. Beyond that fight his holding hasn't been as bad as all that, it is just exaggerated in the telling by people who hate Hatton.

Paul Williams held as much as Hatton did on his worst night when he fought Margarito and the "pwn" brigade on here seemed to allow it without criticism, and now somebody is going to vehemently deny it or justify it, probably also using some acronym like "LMAO" or variations thereof.

Way too tough. There is an art to infighting and holding and jockeying for space like Hatton does. Nady would eliminate that. He allows zero infighting - ZERO.
