Calling Mayweather boring, saying there was more action in his Castillo fight than in all of Floyd's fights, that isn't trash talking?

What was especially funny is how in the interviews posted yesterday he said he didn't want to discredit him as an inside fighter. He appeared to be humble when he said that, but the reality is he knows Floyd is a hell of an inside fighter when he wants to be. Therefore, that means all the **** he said before was pure trash talking.

I live in Sheffield, always have, and trust me, Nas was not accessible AT ALL. Sure you would see him walking the streets, or shopping in town, but he was always surrounded by about 200 scrawny pakis. That was his
"entourage". He was never really a local hero as well. In the ****** community he was very much loved, but he tended to isolate everyone else. It was quite amusing tho to see him abandon his strong ****** ways tho, when he married a white girl, and moved into the posh affluent part of Sheffield where there was NO ****** community AT ALL...

Hamed was/is an arrogant ****, and the sweetest thing ever was when he knocked the **** out outside a nightclub in Sheffield by a drunk street brawler. Sweet sweet karma.

Hatton's the sort of person you could go over and say hello to, shake his hand and buy him a pint. Even though he is a tremendous and skilled boxer(imo), He's not up his own arse and isn't big headed about it even though he has the ability. Us Brits don't like arrogant twats!

I understand that Hamed was accessible in Sheffield. Was that so?

Lennox Lewis had many more spectacular KO's than Ricky has. And, of course, boxing has always had that natural affinity to heavyweights.
Hatton is down to earth and accessible.

Lewis had zero charisma. Hamed was too brash, too arrogant. The Brits don't like arrogance. Besides when he started doing all that ****** chanting stuff it turned off a lot of his fans.

Bruno was very popular but ulimately he was a nearly man. Hatton is a winner.

Manchester is not a contained community! I don't know where you get that idea. Manchester is in the north of England - and he is definately adored by everyone there. Just like what Naps said - they also appreciate that he is a working class guy and a party animal. He's friendly, not arrogant and has great charisma. A local lad who has far, far suppased peoples expectations...not just that!...but (YET AGAIN) he is the underdog going into battle with PBF... and everyone loves an underdog.

As for Hamed - he was and still is very accessible around Sheffield. I've seen him a number of times - shopping with his kids, eating in restaurants... i even bumped into Naz in a pool hall at about 3 in the morning. He's a nice guy.

I wouldn't say a prime Hatton is more popular than a prime Bruno though.

This was an isolated incident and facilitated more about getting the fight. He has also said many many good things about Mayweather despite Mayweather saying many many bad things about him.

Hatton is not a trash talker, he is just honest. Hamed although a great fighter never shut up.

This IS NOT AN INSULT, but I believe American fans look for something more in their icons than us Brits.

You guys tend to prefer flat out success and materialistic things, where as we like the morals and ethics of our heroes.

This often leads to the old adage of "Britain loves a loser", but on the other hand in Ricky, and many others, we love our winners as much, especially when they bring dignity, pride and values to the table.

Agreed, Bruno was a national hero but it was for different reasons. Bruno was a nearly man who was very charismatic.
