Hatton has a chance to make this like Ali-Frazier. But Frazier was extremely durable. And Ali's weakness as a fighter was his shotty defense. MA took a lot of shots in his career because he had an A+ chin.

Floyd doesn't take those shots. So Ricky has to find a way to hit FMJ without taking the punishment coming in. In my opinion, that doesn't mean constant pressure. Floyd is a smart fighter who will adjust to whatever he sees. Ricky should vary between pressure, jabbing, peek-a-boo, etc. He can't get predictable. He has to throw a few different things at Floyd.
Nonsense.....from the first to the last word, this post is nonsense.

You don't think it would be wise for Hatton to have plan B, C and D, in case Floyd has constructed a perfect game plan to beat his plan A?

I think he will be well served if he can throw Floyd out of his plan A, and make him improvise in the ring.

I think a lot of people are underestimating Hatton's boxing skills. He's a much better boxer than Gatti and Baldomir.

People who say Hatton's boxing skills are on level with Gatti or Baldomir have their heads up their asses.

You present a very good point and I agree with you on that. I cant speak for everyone else, but Mayweather boxing skills are a lot better than Hattons IMO and that why some people think it will be a blow out. I am expecting a GREAT fight spite what some haters or nuthugger say.

I want to see how Hatton will respond if Floyd frustates him by making him miss. I also want to see how Floyd will respond with Hatton's pressure. Come Dec. 3 somebody will lose their cool and just go the **** off.

I don't disagree with that, but that is a very general conception. You're just saying isn't it wise to come prepared? Of course it is. I just disagree with Dios' post for a number of reasons, the first of which is the Ali/Frazier analogy and the statement that "Ali's weakness as a fighter was his shotty defense". Ridiculous.

I agree with this. I'm not sure about the "boxing skills" remark, although Hatton's footwork does not seem to be as sophisticated as Floyd's. But, then again Hatton's style is not to get on his bike, but to relentlessly pursue. IMO its a simple matter of whether or not Hatton's grappling can be effectively employed against Floyd. The referree will have something to say about this. If this fight were happening in England, I would have alot more to say about Hatton's chances.

I think Floyd adapts to whatever. Pressure only works if the person who is applying it knows how to do it. Castillo is the only person who was sucessfull at it so that's why everyone thinks its pressure but the truth is that you have to make changes in the ring against floyd. You have to think.

I would start off with a rampage in the first round then box in the second. Which ever style works best I'd stick with. Maybe I'd use both in different rounds...maybe I'd fight unorthodox.

Then I'd get knocked the **** out!!
